Sweet man congrats! Next stop 600 and beyond
Looking forward to watching the vids when they’re up.

Thanks, guys! I’ve got my eyes on 600 now  once I’m able to pull 500 with better form though lol

NOTES: Crunched for time due to a C exam. Squat dropped from 315 X 3 to 315 X 1. Depth was much better, but that doesn’t mean much. I had my exam after, which was insane lol. Walked outside to find myself in a blizzard, still wearing my gym shorts and Chucks. Got to my car, got stuck, had a guy help me get out. I got out, saw a girl stuck sideways in the road, parked my car and pushed her out. Got back in my car, realized I was stuck, and 4 guys came and helped me out. I got rolling and decided to park my car and walk home. Walked for a solid 20 minutes and couldn’t take it anymore. Went inside the nearest building and saw my legs were literally iced over. My roommate came and picked me up, we saw someone stuck in the road ahead of us, and I got out and pushed him out. My roommate said something like “Holy hell, you man handled him out” haha. Time like these remind me why I continue to make myself stronger. Life is so much easier when you push yourself in the gym day in and day out. I wouldn’t have been able to help out those two drivers tonight if it weren’t for being decently strong (compared to your average Joe).

Sorry for the wall of rant lol.

Wish the squats would have went better :frowning:

Lol, thanks man

Well it’s about time you didn’t hit a PR with all that weight loss :P. Nah, just messing around. Sorry to hear about the crappy day. Just one of those days that make PR busting sessions that much sweeter

Plus I’m sure you got at least some eccentric-less work from pushing cars around haha. I feel the same about pushing yourself in the gym so that doing everyday things are easy, just like bringing in tens of bags of groceries at a time for the parentals :stuck_out_tongue:

On a side note, I’m sure glad the weather over here was far from bone chilling.

Sorry to let you down, but I just looked through my log and found that last set on leg press WAS a PR! Haha

Yes, I’m not looking forward to walking to class tomorrow from home lol. Hopefully the crazy spontaneous Kansas weather melts all of the snow before I have to leave. It was 60 degrees out yesterday and snowed today so I wouldn’t be surprised lol

The answer to all your problems: California…ask Gregron

you’ve got a fuck ton stronger since last year, when the thread began, really impressive man…200 pounds on your dead, 100 on bench…that’s awesome.

Hahaha in that case, nice PR man!

And when austin_bicep mentions how much you’ve improved, all I can say is whoa…I iz speechless.

I’d love me some 200 pound DL and 100 pound bench improvement

Oh and nice new avi

@hlss09: Haha, believe me when I say Kansas weather is the worst.

@austin: Thanks, man! Coming from one of the most respected names on the forums, that means a lot. I’m just doing my best to catch everyone else on here

@Aqua: Lol, yes I was surprised with the comment myself. You’re making the same progress I am though, so if you are amazed by mine then that is saying something about yours

And thanks, I’ve had the BK idea for a while now, just never got around to it lol.

NOTES: Not really any PRs but a great session. Motivation was there and I busted ace. Back/bis are never worth posting but I do progress form workout to workout any way I can. The PRs just aren’t as fun to post as deadlifts or benching

Squat is down, eh? I’m sure that it’ll come along. No offense, but, in proportion to your bench and pull, it’s kinda scary. lol

Yeah, I hate squatting with a passion. I think my legs lost some strength on HP Mass. For lower body, you use only 80% of your 3RM on your TOP SETS. I kind of wasn’t expecting much strength gains on it. I’m going to be using my bastardized version of 5/3/1 for squat and deadlift, and possibly OH as well.

Aww, why shucks  haha. Looks like an awesome back/bi session.

So does that mean that your not doing HPM anymore?

Well I was never planning on doing the exact HPM outline, just using the principals. But yeah, I am planning on using HPM principals at each workout (i.e. as many sets of 3 I feel I can get away with with pressing, eccentric-less work, strength circuits from time to time, tect.).

Was at the engineering library for 6 hours working on a C++ project. Came home to find my door completely covered with snow. I’m pretty sure it was my neighbors. At least they were nice enough to leave the shovel they used. It’s on, bitches. Let the prank wars begin!

EDIT: Not sure why the picture posted sideways.
