Dude, why are you doing these ridiculous leg lifts when your basic squat movements are pretty poor in comparison to everything else??

Like the 1020 squat off pins was interesting, and the leg press is cool, but honestly, are they doing anything for your squat if you can only front squat 225x5??

my squat is about 365x1 with just a belt.
the 225x5 was a warm-up that maid me cramp up crazy, not any effort evolved.

my best squat off pins is 1250lbs LOL, its a easy lift.

I went from squat to leg because cramping and awkwardness due to cast. thanks for checking out my workout!!
I thought you said your front squat was 225x5, I didn’t notice you changed to back squats mid way thru.

My point was, you’re obviously already very strong on the leg press and pin squat, but is it having a carryover to your squat??

Are you doing much heavy core work??

I hope you are playing tackle for some very happy coach. 6’4" at 245 with good weight at 16 - jeez.

you bring up some good points, no my entire core for last week was 20 situps. but normally my core work is weighted abs on a cable.

I tend to think my legs are the cause of my bad squat, not core. The reason being I don’t think I would deadlift so much with a weak core.

basketball, baseball
off topic as hell but my fast-ball is 85 mph. Now your gonna call me on e-stats right?

…wow… 587 lbs. is… amazing.

It makes me wonder why in the world could you only squat 365? My DL is only about 425-455 (moved 455 for like 3 inches off the floor) but I still squat more than you. (it was 365 back then, probably have gotten stronger now)

There’s gotta be a weakness. Probably your hip flexors… or you probably just have some bad genes for squatting. If it is, I bet it’s short torso.

Saw your 1020X3 Partial Squat off Pins.

If you’re this strong now, I can’t wait to see where you are once you stop listening to coldplay.
well, he is 6’4

FWIW he’s built a lot more like a deadlifter than a squatter, he also did mention being able to do anything leg related for a couple months.

thats just my guess at it but the kid seems strong and for the fact his natural test levels arent even that high yet just makes me think he’ll be able to keep progressing over the next 4-5 years with ease.

LOL @ diagnosis
Please don’t take offense when I defend myself.

A short torso long legs ratio is NOT ideal for squatting, but has great advantage for deadlifting. I looked at the video again and it seemed that his torso is shorter than his legs…

…And we all know that a PL style squat requires strength in your hip flexors.

Very impressed keep up the good work.
