stop fixating on the numbers, eat son, eat!!!
just go up in a class.
the ones tha tgo up in class are stronger than the ones that cut to stay down in a class.
eggs=great
green beans = ok but not so much get dark greens like spinich, kale, collard, mustart green stuff like that
Forgot he rest but you should have tuna, chicken, beef, lots of lean beef.
keep it simple you will not get “huge”
animal meat and something green next to it and lots or water all day that is wha tyour diet should look like.
if you have to have 1400 kcals at this point its becuase you are already damaging your metabolism.
should be around 2500-3000 if your busting your ass.
im not fixating on numbers…its just what it needs to be. i cant bump up a class, it will fuckup the lineup. its twice more make the weight then im done and can weigh whatever i want.

Dude,
Do you think everybody is wrong but you are right.
If you hurt yourself with this who in the line up is going to unfuck it for you?
Answer: No one, not one of them.
Your wrestling team may seem like the world to you now my man. But it don’t mean a thing in the real world.
At your age your body wants to grow. So what was good a few months or weeks ago may not apply today or tomorrow.
Don’t be stupid, don’t risk your health unless it is a life or death situation for you, a loved one, or someone who can’t defend themselves.
Talk to your parents, they will let you know what is the best thing for you to do.
Good Luck to you
I posted a long while back in the other thread that my evaluation was, I and everyone was wasting our collective breath as your mind is closed.
You have proven that correct.
Ah, but you will have the last laugh! When you are in your late teens, in your twenties, in your thirties, etc (I know you don’t really believe this will ever happen, but it will, and most of your life will be at ages older than now, believe it or not)
While it’s true you’ll still be coming up only to everyone else’s chins or chests thanks to starving yourself when your body would otherwise be undergoing some major growth, and the majority of the women will be taller than you and call you “The Chihuahua,” you’ll be saying to yourself,
“But I didn’t ‘mess up the lineup’ in high school wrestling back when I was 14!”
And it will all seem so worth it once you remember that!
im listening to all you guys and modifieing the diet by adding in different protein sources and greens…but the fact is i need to make the weight, its very easy for me to make it without even dehydrating myself and i feel the best at that weight
No, that is NOT a fact. (That you “need” to make that extremely light weight.)
It is your closed mind.
Not a fact.
I don’t think there’s the slightest point in anyone replying further to you so long as your mind is closed on the key point.
It will be a different story if you get past the key point and recognize you DO NOT IN FACT “need” to make the weight you have in mind. If you come to recognize that then everyone, I’m positive, will be just as much wanting to help you as has been the case all along.
But so long as you remain absolutely bound to a totally foolish goal, as you’ve been completely consistent on to this point, NO ONE CAN HELP YOU.
i have an idea for you, as I’ve been mulling your story over all day…
bump up your intake to around 2000 cals… focus on training hard, and you will add some muscle and lose some fat.
since you do NEEEEED to make the 114 weight class, you should slice off both butt cheeks. after considering it all day, I decided that the butt cheeks are probably the lowest value/pound of any body part when it comes to wrestling.
if you were to cut off an arm, you’d be severely disadvantaged in the sport, and we all know what happens when you cut off your face.
but by eliminating your butt cheek weight, you should be able to hit 114 safely…
dan
When I was 14 I was 6ft tall. And pretty skinny. I gained weight but never grew any taller. That part of my growing was done at 14.
Dude you are not listening to what is being said to you.
You do not know what you are doing to your body. And the people at school could care less about it. As long as you are giving them what they want. Now they wont come out and tell you this but it is true.
You will learn this later in life as you see it happening to other people and as you catch yourself doing to other people too. It’s human nature.
Somebody said it here earlier, starving to make a weight class in high school when you should be feeding a growing body is not equivalent to the dedication and hard work to do it for a college team. It is just plain stupid.
once its all said and done there will be no accolades that will make up for any damage done.
How tall are you?!?!
Can your growth really get that stunted from eating at half maintenance for 2 weeks??? Although your protocol does sound stupid (a near 100% protein diet sucks for weight loss from past experience), I think people are over-reacting just a little bit. They’re making it sound like you’re trying to perform liposuction on yourself to lose the fat…

Perhaps, but growth occurs in spurts. At 14 it is a natural part of growing. And there is no way to know when it will start or stop.
I would never advise my son to risk maximizing his growth for a freaking high school weight class.
Since he is an athlete shouldn’t he want to maximize his gains while he has a chance for them to occur naturally. Maybe his recent weight gain is his body trying to grow. But he decides to short circut a natural process. It is not like he is doing this during a period of his life when his growth is over.
And at his light weight the 15 lbs he wants to lose is like a lean 200 lb guy trying to lose 25-30 in 3 weeks. It just doesn’t add up.
I would tell him F the weight class, and let the coach know that HE has a problem with the line up. That the coach needs to fix it because Its his problem. And that he will be wrestling in the appropriate weight class. I know it sucks but it is what it is. Its BS having a kid in his situation doing this. In my opinion anyway. Now if the kid was a fatass that would be a different story.
But nevertheless I do wish you well. Again you should ask your dad what he thinks.
It’s not 2 weeks that he’s talking about. Nor just 3 weeks for that matter. That’s just the planned duration of the crashing-down but the anorexia continues past that.
Enough said: this whole topic has gone beyond stupid.
You can devote 1000 posts showing a mule how to get to water, but if he’s determined to go the other direction, not one of them will have done a bit of good. A two-by-four might work, but not any number of written posts.
I’m done.
im 5"2…very far into puberty already…when eating normally i havent grown in about a year. my sudden weight increase wasnt my body trying to grow, it was me literally eating about 6,000 cals a day of ice cream and pastries for 10 days.
before i broke my thumb i was on a diet similar to the one im using now for getting this weight off…i pigged out because it was the delicious taste of this nasty shit food and i missed it, but it was rediculously stupid and just my taste buds that craved it once tasting something sweet.

look, I know exactly what you are talking about,I wrestled in high school every year I was there and I also wrestled in jr. high
I would have gone farther but I am an idiot and dropped out.
if it will fuck up the line up, so be it thats not your problem the coach needs to recruit someone in that class then.
it dosnt “need” to be anything you need to allow your body to do what it is going to do naturaly.you are not “well into puberity” you are just starting.
Is your life so sorry and pitiful that it is being put on hold for a couple of no named school meets?
you are not a oly. wrestler, you are not even in college yet.
these meets mean NOTHING the sooner you get that into your head the sooner you can move on.
I can see you are dedicated to wrestling but you can’t hold back what you are. and can not be what your not. and you are not a 114 wrestler, end of subject
you are no longer in that class. get over it move on you will be better off getting bigger and stronger.
We all are not wrong here, this site is full of athletes, most if not all of us commenting in your retarted thread have competed in a sport. some of us do compete still
this is not a website of casual fitness gurus, yes we have our share of keyboard warriors but for the most part there are people here that are the real deal, and we all one way or another know and understand what you are doing, and we understand how you feel about this.
We have all been there and you have years upon years of experience that you can tap into here.
no one can force you to do anything, but you will be way better off not only in the long run but in the short term too if you just trust us and do as we are telling you.
you are way too young to have these problems, and yes you have an eating disorder already.
go speak to a school counsler or someone please.
Well, once last try, as I don’t like giving up on a kid.
I am sure you were NOT eating normally all this time you mention that you were not growing.
No doubt it was what you call normal, but the very fact that you say your maintenance is 1400 calories/day when you are 14 years old tells me your “normal” is anything but, for a teenager.
EVERYTHING you say is really saying the same thing:
You have an eating disorder.
The eating disorder has been longterm and has resulted in your not growing at all lately. (Don’t blame your parent’s genetics, that is not the whole story.)
The eating disorder was also manifested in this ridiculous pigout.
The eating disorder is being manifested again in your ridiculous diet plan.
It is being manifested yet further in your obsession to make this extremely low weight.
You need help, and from people whose counsel you will actually follow. That clearly is not us, judging from the track record so far.
If you take one piece of advice take this: Get some friends who eat like horses, gain muscle, are good athletes, and are smart and into bodybuilding. Preferably older than you. Let them be your role models in how to eat to gain.
You’ve almost undoubtedly already cost yourself considerable final height and size. Don’t freeze yourself where you are now though: that is ABSOLUTELY what you are headed for. Not because it is inevitable, it may well not be, but because you are making it inevitable with your eating disorder.
And yes you do have an eating disorder and need help. A psychologist however probably cannot do for you what the right sort of peers being role models and encouragers for you can do, so I suggest that route.
You’re clearly not going to listen to us here on the overall main point, but hopefully you can, if you pick up anything from us at all, pick up that point. I hope so. It is important.
I agree with Mr. roberts here about getting the right peers.
In my high school we had wrestling and football like everyone else.
now these 2 seasons were opposite each other with about 1 week overlaping.
if we wanted to wrestle past Frosh we had to join the football team and train with them,no choice in the mater.
if we wanted to play football past Frosh we had to join the wrestling team and train with them, again no choice in it.
wrestling gave the stamina and balance we needed to be good football players, and the football training gave again stamina but better over all strength, they worked very well together and when I was there both wrestling and football teams went to state and regional every single year.
Maybe join up with some football players, join that team as well, even if you have no interest in football or dont know how to play its no mater the training alone is great for you.
