@inflict: Thx bro!!! Same to you, stay focus and keep pushing hard!!!
@bud moody: First and foremost, my cheat meal…I normally have pizza, I just love it, it fills my up and I don’t crave cheat food for days afterwards! But today was a bit different…coach Thibaudeau’s wife made me and my buddy Kevin some home made lasagna, with meat sauce, pepperoni and tons of cheese…it was awesome!!! And for desert, my all time classic, ice cream, any kind of chocolate is fine, today was rocky road…hmmmm!!!
As for your injury, I wont give you a medical advise, since Im not a doctor, but I’ll tell you what Im currently doing for my bicep injury…with the help of coach Thibaudeau, we came up with a ton of new exercises, none of which cause me pain, even for back!!! The only bodypart I have trouble with is obviously bicep, and still, Im able to do some light (8lbs dumbells) biceps hammer curl, just to keep some blood flowing thru my muscle. So basically that’s what a recommend…do what doesn’t hurt and try to keep blood going thru your trouble areas. Keep up your good work man!!!
@WestCoast7: You betcha!!! I had some home made lasagna and ice cream, and watch football almost all day…go Steelers and Saints!!! Back to hard work tomorrow…depletion work outs with my buddies Kevin and Daryl, since me and Daryl are leaving for the Detroit show on wednesday, and then hopefully the Olympia the next week, as long as he finishes top 3 in Detroit…don’t worry guys, me and coach Thibaudeau will have him ready, dry as a prune, 15lbs heavier than his previous showing and ready to do some damage, just have a look as his progress on the Training Lab Live Spill!!!
@bud mood: No sweat man!!! Good luck with that shoulder injury of yours!!! And remember…a positive attitude is contageous, and will only bring you more positive in your life!!! We can control so much, mind as well roll with what is out of or hands and make the best of it!!!
I hope you didn’t eat that cheat meal in front of Darryl!!
Is the Detroit show coming up tomorrow? Make sure to keep us posted.
@therajraj: Well, we all live together so…it’s a good thing Darryl’s quarters are in the basement, so he can hide a bit!!! But remember that our personal choices, like competing or dieting, shouldn’t affect other people lives… It means that guys who uses dieting or competing as an excuse for being cranky or aggressive, actually have a issue with self control more then anything!!!
@WestCoast7: Yes bud it’s tomorrow…Darryl looks awesome, we’re looking to do some major damage in Detroit and the next week, at the Olympia!!! Keep you posted with results!!!

Funny story about that; Alex stayed for a week with my training partner Nick, his girlfriend Nadia and daughter Frederique. Alex was two weeks out but he was in great mood all the time and actually cleaned the house behind the couple’s back!
Nick was grateful because that showed his girlfriend that you can compete and still be a normal person.
And remember: the bigger you are (especially big and in contest condition) the more people will notice you and notice the way you act.

@all: Ok…thanks to coach Thibaudeau’s big mouth, now I have to come out the closet…Im available to clean houses on week-ends, I just love the smell of Pine-Sol…hahahahaha!!!
Nah seriously, coach is right, the bigger you are, the more scrutiny you’ll be under, it’s the nature of the beast I guess…
Ok guys, just so you know, me and Darryl “G-Man” Gee are hours away form leaving Denver to go to the motor city, Detroit…I’ll try to have a laptop with me, posting frequently so you can follow and feel the mood of Darryl, how his physique is changing and evolving as he fills up and dries out and of course, the results!!!
^^^
Awesome, thanks for all the help and advice. It is greatly appreciated on this site. And updates on Darryl would be plus as well!!!
@all: So me and Darryl just arrived at the MGM Grand Detroit Hotel…ouffff!!! Let me tell you, I’ve never seen such a nice hotel!!! The rooms are unbelievable!!!
The flight was short, only 2 hours, and everything went well. I personally slept the hole time, while Darryl was too excited to catch some sleep. His mood is very good and energy too, since he’s anxious about the task ahead!!! Obviously, he’s holding a bit of water, which will be all gone tomorrow…
Tomorrow is an off day for Darryl; eat, relax, and visualize what lies ahead, the competitors, their weaknesses, his strong points…
I’ll take as many pics as I can, but the idiot that I am, I forgot my camera cord to connect and download pics on the computer…sorry guys!!! But don’t worry, they’ll be up in no time, and I’ll keep you posted on everything that’s going on here, Darryl physique changes, his thoughts, his mood, everything!
Where are you lifting? I’m in the northern burbs but I lift at a few different places. It’d be cool to see you, in comp or at the gym!
Thursday Sept. 16th
@pushmepullme: Actually bro, we train 2 times, sometimes 3 times a day, at Biotest facilities…it’s our “office”, a private gym where we and the camera crew take care of business!!!
But on week-ends, me and my buddy Kevin often go to the 24hrs Fitness in Colorado Springs. Maybe I’ll see you there!!! If so, come and say hi, it’s always a pleasure to meet a brother of iron and a member of T-Nation!

@all: Hahahahahaha!!! And who says I didn’t know that guys??? Remember, back at home in Montreal, I was a private investigator for 11 years and counting…so, who’s trapping who???
Meeting a sister of iron is fine by me too you know…lol!!! Seriously, Im always more than happy to meet new people, especially since I moved to Colorado Springs, where I don’t know many people…so anytime, let me know in advance, and we’ll push some iron together!!!
