My Mom Threw Away My Creatine

I ordered the Biotest creatine and began using it yesterday. My mom saw it and freaked out saying that its really bad for me and she printed out a couple of articles suggesting creatine leads to dehydration and kidney failure. She threw it away when i was gone this morning and gave me 10 bucks. She said if i ordered anymore it would be thrown out and I wouldnt be given money. This is very insulting to me since I did lots of research and never found any PROVEN negative side effects. Im really mad and probably am going to just go out today and pick up some more. Im 16 and she said that I shouldnt be taking it at my age.

Could you guys give me some cited facts to back my case up?

WOW! That kind of ignorance would send me round the fucking bend.

Find about 12-15 studies saying how it is near harmless, print them out and fucking stick them on the fridge.

just take it in your room…thats what i used to have to do! sad i know but at the time i thought it was the only way. I was your age to.

Yeah i cant tell you how pissed I am. They are really conservative and even got worried when i started taking Surge and fish oil. I work my ass off to eat clean and workout hard since I set my goals. They are just ignorant and it pisses me off how they have no cited scientific studies to back thier negative run on creatine.

just hide it from mom… you’ll find ways…

maybe ask friends for empty vanilla whey protein containers and then fill the creatine in there… she’ll never know

and the crusade against intelligence continues in the U.S.

try hitter her.

I looked up some articles that said that.OH WAIT not one of the articles had a bibliography.

Creatine is a delicious rainbow of happiness and will never cause kidney failure,in reality it makes you have a bigger penis and more hair on your chest. show your mom that article.

Articles without a decent bibliography are bullshit… look at T nation articles they always have a bibliography.

Well, you could hide it like mentioned.

Or you could pull up multiple studies showing its safety.
Causes dehydration? Hmmm, drink more water maybe?

if there’s alcohol in the house throw it all away and see what she says. “mom, alcohol causes dehydration and is toxic to the liver”

Whatever you do, don’t put it in rubber gloves and hide it in your anus.

When they find that, good luck explaining its creatine.

That sucks, but at your age you will make fine progress just training hard and eating big. In a few years you will be on your own and can use creatine, in the mean time you will be alright without it.

I used to have to deal with my mom being the same way. I would recommend learning all you can about it so you can support your argument with knowledge and cited references. Hell, do it big, make a chart or power point presentation so it’s not just your word against hers. She pays for your food and underpants so it’s hard to argue anything unless you just try your best to explain it all.

O, and throw in a study or two about why she should take it herself for bone density and neurological health. Whatever works, good luck

Start leaving cigarettes around the house…mom will suddenly appreciate your interest in fitness

I am guessing your mom is not in the best of shape.
Explain everything you know about the subject to her and “enlighten” her of her ignorance.

And make her buy your creatine next time.

I had a friends mom toss out my Ozzy tape i borrowed her back in middle school because she believed it was satanic.
People believe what they want and most won’t even try to open their minds to the truth.

Good luck

Stash it at some friend’s house, and take 50-100 grams with you every week or so. Hide it in stupid shit noone cares about.

I know a friend who used to do this, twice a week he came to my house, filled a couple sandwich bags with creatine and went home.

At 16, you go to school, right? Put the canister in your locker, and just take a bottle of water with you. Scoop some creatine in the bottle, shake, drink, done.

Hide it! Damn man! When I was in high school I was hiding cases of beer, bags of weed and condoms! Creatine isn’t that difficult!

lol thats a good one

If you live with your mom chances are you are young enough not to need supplements.

Spend your money on whole food protein.

You will be on your own soon enough and then you can do what you want.

Make her a red meat dinner and when she’s taken her last bite, let her know she just unknowingly consumed- DUN DUN DUNNNNN-CRE-A-TINE

Watch as her face wrinkles in horror and she induces vomiting.

There are 2 studies I found that work in your favor. Word of caution if you do look up more medical journals on creatine some say adolescent should not use it so avoid those papers lol

Id give up creatine for free rent
