Hey all! I’m new here to the forum and am looking for tips and advice to prepare me for my first PL cmpetition. Currently, I am following the 5/3/1 program and just finished the second week of my first cycle. I am about 5-11 and 217lbs.
I maxed out on bench about 5 weeks ago and got 360 (with no pause on chest though). So i am basing my percentages on a 325 max bench with the program.
I have not maxed on my deadlift of squats, so my working sets are just based on feel and approximate max.
My last deadlift workout I did: 280x3 320x3 365x10
Squats today i did: 320x3 365x3 405x3
I plan on maxing out on my DL and Squat next week since it is the 5/3/1 week so I will add in singles up to a max.
My goals as of now are:
Bench 375
Deadlift 500
Squat 450
Hoping to keep my log on here current so I can stay focused and accountable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
