My Journey to Getting STRONG

Thanks man, it was alright. Me too, drives me crazy.

Cgsbp wit 45 plates per side? That’s like 900kg a side! You so swole.

Okay I’ll stop now.

Training looks good, a whole day for triceps? You been doing that long? Any thoughts?

45pps is ez money brah. You dont cgbp 900kg for repz?

Lol, thanks man. Yeah, ive been doing a triceps day for probably 2-3 months now. Honestly, I really like it. Strength for triceps has definitely increased from it and lockout has gotten much stronger cause of it.

NOTES: Today was ok overall. Forearm is bothering me a bit. Just tried to put in good work. Overall had a good pump and ok day.

the difference between those bumper plates and regular plates shouldnt be that drastic. Whens your next DL day so that you can check it out? you could always just stand two of them up next to eachother and see the size difference… you wouldnt have to set up two different bars for that?

Well, the plates are 2" larger in diameter. Therefore the bar is going to be about 1" higher. DLing on tuesday!

So yeah, bumpers are ~1" higher, no more than that. So Im just gonna leave it be. I am confident what I pull with that, I can pull, period.

NOTES: Awesome day. Glad I powered thru and got the 415! Gotta drive hips hard on the start! Bar is about 1" higher up with the bumpers, but no worries there. Good PRs all around. The leg press is brutal! Probably around a 60 degree angle. Feels awesome. Great session!

Congrats on the sumo PR amigo. Now I’m chasing your ass, since you’ve got 30#s on my sumo pull and I outweigh you by that amount. Gawd I’m fat, lol

Oh yeah, BW this am was 188 mofugga

Advice - lose the straps on deficits…they are a great grip builder cause you gotta hold the weight longer, dont short change yourself…and see if you cant get a bit higher deficit.

Nice PR

LOL @ dropping the bar…like a bo$$. Also, FWIW, the hex plates actually create a slight deficit themselves, so yeah. :stuck_out_tongue:

Y U NO DO SUMO DEFICITS???

Yeah man, i know. The bars that arent on the oly platform are all oiled up since theyre new. Its ridiculous man and I cant use chalk. I will lose them though and pray I can hold on lol.

Thanks man.

Justice, cool man. Idk honestly lol. I might alternate between sumo and conventional deficits so I dont beat my hips up too much doing sumo dl and sumo deficits every week.

Ink, haha yeah man.

I might have to do that lol; it’s Tuesday and my legs are still hurting like hell from pulling on Friday! :stuck_out_tongue:

Buy some liquid chalk, its not as good as regular chalk, but you can use it in a gym.

I wear it a notch looser

I thought you were going to be able to use chalk? Fuckers!

Try different belt positions (higher/lower) to avoid pinching. I got bit like a mofo last night, and realized I need to wear it lower when pulling conventional and higher for sumo. And like DF, a notch looser helps too, but I’m too lazy to move the lever. Guess I’ll just have to lose a bit off the gut. LAME!

I am able to use chalk, BUT only on the oly platforms! Since im doing the deficits not on the oly platforms, its not chalk!

Thanks for the belt tips DF and Ink.
