just got done looking over like half of your thread. How old are you? sorry if it is mentioned in a previous log or something. you are strong as hell man. I’m extremely impressed with the front squats/zercher squats. i have tried front squats but only did them like once bc my form sucked and i lack the flexibility in my wrists to do them. I might do them in the future if i train with someone who is good at oly lifts. for now ill stick with just squats. but Keep up the good work man. what numbers you trying to hit at your meet? i have a log on here as well, i follow wendler’s 5/3/1 right now trying to get strong…i have a ways to go to catch you and most of the guys in here though.

Hey buddy, thanks for dropping in and for the kind comments. I turned 20 about a month ago. When I do heavy front squats I use a crossed arm grip instead of the oly grip, maybe try that out? At my meet my main goal is to total 1000+lbs. Id love to hit around a 440 deadlift, 350 squat and a 240 bench. Stay committed, bust your ass and good things will happen man!

thanks for the tip on front squats.I think a 1000+ total is definitely in reach for for this meet. Keep training hard, i am expecting at least a 450 max deadlift outta you. i think ya got it in you based on some of the videos ive seen of you on here. good luck, i will be following your progress

Im debating whether to even bother trying to make weight for this meet or just lifting in the class I weigh in at. Im usually weighing around 190 in the morning. Was going to compete in the 181s, not really sure. Guess we’ll see how things pan out.

you have a good 20ish days, make sure the scale you are using is accurate. If you get down to 186 come meet time I say def cut the 5lbs, you can get it back pretty easy.

Just get a colonic and sweat a lot, that should get you into the 181 class no problemo. A haircut would probably also yield about 4 and a half pounds off too.
