My GVT Experience

Deloading with Starting strength

Decided to deload with SS doing workout B first. I’ll probably be doing SS for about 2 weeks maybe more.

I’m hardly an expert but the “maybe more” seems like a good idea. GVT isn’t going to increase your strength a whole lot. I would think you’d be better served by having a better strength base and then moving into a bodybuilding program.

Thanks for the advice.

Made some searching around and found CVT, which I plan on doing.

Today was Back/Shoulders/abs

Chin ups bw supersetted with db shoulder press @17.5kg with a rest time of 1:30 mins. Did 7x3. Probably could have done a few more sets but decided not to, as my form was dropping and the last set on pull ups was almost to failure. The abs superset was hanging leg raises/seratus crunch(2 db’s@28kg each) 3x10. The leg raises were easy, but the crunches were executed with a somewhat bad form.

Legs

Barbell(60kg) Front squats supersetted with bent-legged good mornings, rest time of 1:30-2 mins.
Sets and reps:
3x3
2x2
1x1

The other exercise was one leg calf raises done on the floor holding a db @28kg. Supersets 3x10.
