I competed as a lightweight and weighed in at 175#. I was by far the lightest guy in the competition and got killed in the more skilled events like the keg and stones, but oddly enough, placed second in the deadlift for reps with 485 and the 750 lb chain drag. I posted a vid of the deadlift, pretty much for fun.
Having won the 165 lb raw division in the WNPF this year and having competed in strongman, I’m thinking about doing the Mr. USC bodybuilding competition in April to round out my competitive year.
Thanks fellas! I’m doing sort of a preliminary diet to see where I am for the competition right now- the Ripped in Six Days deal that I think Thibs posted this week. I’m definitely going to be squarely in the Stage 2 by Thursday, so I’ll be looking good for the Arnold Expo on Friday, haha.
Incidentally, drinking three gallons of water a day is a huge pain in the ass.

Next you should do a weightlifting competition, after the bodybuilding, then you’d have done a little of everything[/quote]
If the All-Round Weightlifting org still put on events, I’d do that. I’ve got a great one arm snatch, and a decent two hands anyhow, haha. My Oly lifts are not as good as they should be due to the fact that I’ve taught myself how to do them, and I’ve never lifted with anyone who knows shit about them. Two of my training partners right now are planning on getting their pro cards in August in strongman, and they can’t clean any more than I can, and snatch less.
