Honestly how many indviduals need 2 weeks for recovery and adaptation from a single session?
I agree 2 weeks is way too long between workouts.
That said, I do think itās interesting that lots of modern high intensity guys use an exercise rotation, so they go 2-3 weeks before they repeat the same lift.
Like Mike was partially right, it can take awhile to recover and adapt enough to Beat the Log Book on a particular exercise.
But he didnāt find out that you can do Other lifts in the meantime.
Yeah just look at how Louie did it at Westside with their max effort days.
There are so many things Iād like to question/correct in the story outlined by the OP, that I donāt know where to start⦠Thankfully, several people have managed to boil it down a bit.
The simple rule will always be: If anything seems too good to be true - It probably is. Iāve done my fair share of reading up on HIT, and Mentzerās consolidated routine is an outlier in every aspect. Itās one thing to actually question how little stimulus is needed for strength and muscle growth - And another to actually believe that training once every 7-14th day will do it.
