My Down Fall, Suggestions?

well there are 2 things that let me down in my program

1 - bed time binge … lately i have found my self eating out of the fridge just before bed .
its not that i eat anything terribly bad for me but i know i dont need it

2 - i just hate cardio… i go hard for 10min and then im over it and stop so i do sprints of hit the stairs

can anyone give me some tips or ideas to beat these issues??

Stop eating out the fridge - get a girl

With a solid diet, you don’t need cardio.

With better selections form the fridge (even at night), your body will have better ‘supplies’ to build muscle while you sleep… hence more muscle… hence faster metabolism… hence less fat… (see where I’m heading here?)

what is a better selection before bed ?

You lack discipline.

He racks-a-disciprine.

Learning to be a disciplined person is like learning to play the piano, or how to throw a curve ball… even if you knew all the keys on the piano, the mechanics of the pitch, and what the value of doing your cardio is… you aren’t going to get good at any of those things without a lot of practice.

You aren’t going to find someone here that tells you some magical nugget of truth, and then all of sudden you’re cured of your weak-mindedness.

Every time you force yourself to go for a run or get on the stationary bike, you are one step closer to becoming good at discipline. You just have to keep on doing it, and over time you will improve until it becomes habitual.

(This is all besides the fact that you sound like a whining Jenny Craig housewife, and on a BODYBUILDING FORUM eating before bed is not considered a bad thing)

Sent u a nice informative email. You can paste it up here if you’d like.

I couldn’t have said this better myself. Good post.

It all boils down to this: HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? Personally, I need cardio mainly for the heart and its nice to have the endurance to walk around at Costco. Man up, eat smart selections before bed and do your cardio. Cardio is a job: Whatever you put in, is what you will always get back.

I would just avoid carbs late at night. Otherwise, as long as it has protein in it, you are probably fine to eat right before bed.

As far as cardio, I hate it too. I found a solution that won’t work for most people but I love it: Racquetball. Me and a friend bought a couple of racquets and I play a few nights a week after my work out. Talk about a good cardio workout! plus its fun.

like i’ll start to wack it, but just before i’m about to finish i’ll stop, and i’ll go do something else until my boner goes away.

then later i’ll start to wack it again but again, just before i’m about to finish i’ll stop.

then once i get to the gym, i’ll pick the exercise for the muscle i’m trying to work. pick a weight i’d normally use for 3x10. then i’d bust out 12 reps, and then static hold it while my spotter wacks me off.

I do this too. It comes down to discipline, really, but I’ve found it helps if I keep some Metabolic Drive Low-Carb (or any protein powder you want really but MD tastes pretty good by itself) sitting out on the counter next to the fridge. I’ll take a scoop of it in a big ass glass of water and mix it up. If I still feel hungry, I’ll eat cottage cheese.

Just tell yourself that you can eat what you want, if you are still hungry afterwards. Thing is, you usually won’t be, if it’s a big glass of water. Just don’t eat shitty carb laden foods, and you’ll be okay.
