I agree with Ty, your daily calorie intake seems a bit high for a cutting type diet. It also looks to me that you need to cut back on the carbs and take in some additional good fats. For your height and weight your day rquired calories would be around 2,300 and your need for extra calories b/c your are active and your would need around 3,000 to maintain your current numbers. If you want to drop some of the fat i would say cut out abour 250-350 calories a day for the first two weeks and then cutt back again in the next two weeks. You will drop some weight and some of those unwanted pounds. Nutrition is key, but, what does your workout look like?

How you figure 3000kcal for maintaining, every kcal calculator i have tested, are higher, and says “this is based on averages”. Averages are peope without extra muscle tissue, per pound muscle tissue, you burn 69kcal.
I workout fullbody 3x week, and 1 hour cardio 4 times a week.
More vegs and no oatmeal in the morning. Trying an eggs with some spinach mixxed in.
If you are going to consume carbs you need to earn them by working out. Now If you were working out in the AM before you ate the oatmeal I dont think it would be a problem. But yes I believe 3,000 Kcals to be to much at the bodyfat you are at.

Well, i’m going to need carbs first thing in the morning, don’t want to go around dragging my ass all day.
And i’ve just watched a seminar, of a pro.
He says that each and every genotype should take in carbs in the morning, due to having been inactive for 8 or more hours.
I’ve been at this diet for 4 days, 5 day is to day.
I just took measurements of my waist, down 1 inch.
You guys have to realize, that calories depend much on your musclemass, i’m not just plain fat at 240 and 20% bodyfat, I also carry a decent amount of musclemass, that will burn more calories than a dude without no additional musclemass.

I guess I thought you were asking for advice on your cutting diet from T-Nation… my mistake. If you change your mind though there are some great suggestions above.

Fair enough - you are not a skinny kid, but then why are you posting your diet if you already “know” what you are doing?
