Ok I work at the gym I workout at. Thats pretty much all you need to know for this story. Anyway, recently one of the girls that work at the front desk have been in training to become customer care manager and its really gotten to her head and shes been on this power trip just telling anyone and everyone what to do and shes worse the the GM. Funny thing is shes not even gonna be CCM for our gym, shes getting transferred.
Anyway on saturday when i was working i got into a small argument that lasted no more then 45 seconds with a fellow employee who i happen to be friends with and go to school with. She happened to be listening to us and was trying to break it up as if we had guns and knives and were going to fight. So today in school a girl that works there with me tells me this girl (gina) is in the process of getting me fired for that little argument. Honestly I don’t think its a legitimate reason to fire anyone because i’ve seen much worse.
What would you guys do if u were in this situation? I don’t wanna lose this job simply because it pays for a 70$ a month membership and is up the block from my house
Are you a chick? You have too much drama where you work to be a dude. Seriously. This is your second big run-in where you work in just a few months.
If you’re a good, valued employee, a small argument with a co-worker that gets resolved quickly should not make you fear for your job. It sounds like you’ve left out a lot of what went on during the argument, such as foul language, degrading remarks about other employees/customers, making a big scene in the gym, etc. Either that or people like to see you get wound up and make shit up so they can sit back and watch.

LOL nah im a dude. Surprisingly there was no foul language and ill be the first to admit when swearing because i swear a lot. It actually wasnt a big scene at all until that girl gina started screaming at both of us but even then it wasnt a big scene.
she’s obviously one of those ugly man hating bitches on a power trip. i suggest employing dirty tactics and go on the offensive. get her fired and then tell her it was you who did it…possibly have sex with her hotter younger sister in the process.
Ok well I go to workout today and of course i get called into the GMs office (that pissed me off so much, dont call me in while im working out) Anyway she basically tells me i’ve been terminated from my position and that shes gonna try and get me a different position, which is def bullshit because i know they dont want me working there as it is. Oh well, looks like ill be applying for a job somewhere else until i get certified as a trainer. At least shes gonna let me still workout there.
If it was because of the “argument” between you and your buddy… and if it was entirely not a big deal and did not involve clients being put of by the argument then Iwould say sue them for unlawful termination of employment. To actually offer another position sounds like they found no real fault to go on. Talk to your buddy, he may be of some help.
