Hi guys, I was wondering if there is any benefit in doing a split as such:
Monday - Legs
Wednesday - Shoulders & Triceps
Friday - Back
Sunday - Chest & Biceps
— Repeat ----
My curiosity was if there is an actual benefit in resting a day in between each body part, or does it not matter due to them being different body parts ANYWAY?
When you get to the competitive level of bodybuilding it can make a big difference. Since you’re doing a basic body split I wouldn’t worry much about it. As long as you get the workouts in you’re good. If you need a rest day(you’ll know when you need one), take it. If you start pushing the compound lifts pretty hard, you may find you need a day off in between. High volume/Heavy squats/DLs for me usually requires at least an easy day, and often times a day off afterwards.
