Been playing this thing since the day it came out, and man, I am loving it more than, well, than a grown man should be allowed to love a video game, hehe. Not even sure why…graphics - best I’ve ever seen - check, gameplay - big guns, chainsaw bayonett, blood - check, good\funny dialog - check, mmm, foot stompin, locust blastin’, berserker fearin’ fun - check, and double check, LOL.
So anyone else out there into this one? While I’ve been playing the crap out of it, I just finished beating my first corpser last night, and I think I’m almost done with Act III. Hoping to finish “casual” by this weekend and start up on the next difficulty. With a nice long holiday weekend ahead, I think I’m going to be living undergound for a while, LOL.
Also, as I don’t have a Live “Gold” membership, I’m dying to try out multiplayer with the free thing I received in the collector’s box. Problem is though, I think hosting a multiplayer game will overwrite my existing single player campaign. Anyone know for sure if that’s a fact?
Either way, if you have a 360, you HAVE to have this game…

mulitplayer games have no effect on your single player campaign. if you havent used your silver account to sign onto live yet do it. Right as your establishing your gamertag/profile for live and what not they will offer you a free month of gold. gears online looks/plays just as sharp as the sp campaign, plus the co op mode is retarded fun if you have friends. go get your wig split.
I’ve been off work the last couple weeks…played Gears like crazy for the 1st week till I finally finished it…gonna have to try it co-op as well…hell of a game…
right now I’m playin Saints Row…alot like GTA…
My bro is coming up for thanksgiving and he is going to buy me 360 and gears of war. He says its fucking sick. Don’t know what platform they used, but kinda looks like Steams engine for Half-Life 2.

Anyway looks sick, can’t wait to play it.

They used the Unreal Engine 3. Its far above and beyond the HL engine.
I’m not sure what you mean by platform. Are you talking about the engine it uses? If so, it’s the Unreal 3 engine. Tons of games are being made using it, but none are as nice looking as Gears is. Makes sense as it’s Epic’s engine.
I just beat it on insane last night. Beat Act III alone, but my roomate hopped in, and we finished it off. Definitely one of the most polished and fun games I’ve played in a while. Online versus kicks much ass too as long as you’re playing with a team that speaks and coordinates well.
i havent even bothered with single player yet, im a multiplayer kind of guy, online is awsome, i dont play too often mybe 2-3 times a week, but its still pretty sik game. i only wish they had more levels on multiplayer…oh well
