I think some of you are missing the point that Jay brought the same look he has brought before, whereas Heath brought something completely new, that was just stunning standing next to Jay, whom we’ve seen so many times.
And, this is not to hate on Jay, I actually do think he should’ve been 2nd, but Phil looked special this year, and it just seemed like it was his time.

For real. Phil’s lats blew up since the last time we saw him and his overall presentation was the best on stage. I really don’t get people acting like Phil was off at all.

Seriously, I was thoroughly impressed by the amount of detail his back had in one of those back double bi’s I saw.

I agree, it’s amazing that it was his weakness and now he has one of the best backs in the biz.

Wait, so the stuff they were saying about Jay being the only one to ever lose the title and then regain it isn’t true then?

Arnold never lost. He just didnt compete the years he didnt win.
It is true. Arnold never lost the title. He retired after the 75 Olympia and then came back in 1980 to compete one last time.
Others won from 76 - 79 but he didn’t lose, he just didn’t compete.
Dude, this may be one of the most impressive showings at that contest. This is straight motivation.
I want my chest and shoulders like that.
I want to know what he looks like in the off season at 270.
Him and his trainer said his shoulders started getting better when he trained them on the same day as chest funnily enough.
I want to know what he looks like without having to drop so much muscle to make the 202’s and having to rebound (i.e - just coming into a normal contest weight down from 270), I bet he’d make top 10 in the open easily (and make more money come to think of it!).

I agree now. Before, I thought his 202 goal was commendable…but he is WRECKING that class to the point that there is no competition. He needs to move up and let those other guys shine for a while before David Henry goes on a mass killing spree becoming the world’s first black bodybuilding serial killer.

No, but most of the ones who have gone nuts and committed murder were white.
Well, except for Bertil Fox, and that’s a whole 'nuther topic.

“It’s a bizarre world of beetle-browed loners with eggshell egos who are engaged in an obsessive quest for self-mastery; of men posturing before wraparound mirrors, casting illusory reflections of strength, masculinity and virility from which hang, metaphorically, their steroid-shrunken testicles; of cartoonish characters chiseling and tanning and oiling their hairless bodies to camouflage impoverished self-esteem; of fat-free, high-protein starvation diets that can heighten the irritability and anxiety brought on by steroid abuse; and of all those needles and vials and pillsâ??whole families of anabolic steroids, hormones and diuretics, insulin and speed.”
