Mr. Olympia Weekend

I didn’t get to see the show live so I’m just going off these pics.

Jay has the complete package. Moreso than anyone else IMO. Phil’s arms still overpower his chest and back. Dexters legs lack separation. Kai’s conditioning from the back isn’t there (compared to Jay especially in the lower half). There aren’t enough pics of Martinez but I guess he did’t bring enough. Branch does look real good but he never looks wide enough on top. His huge traps and narrow-ish shoulders destroy his chance to look tapered.

I think it is Jay by a landslide. In the rear lat spread pic he blows Kai out of the water. Jay’s rear delts and traps dwarf Kai’s. The only thing Kai has on Jay is quad/hamstring separation.

EDIT

After looking at more pics on MD here’s my top 5

Cutler
Greene
Jackson
Heath
Warren

Yea - I’m impressed with Jay - he really brought it this year - he’s as big as a fucking house and dry as a bone…

Dexter looks awesome though - that man’s arms are just sick. Heath looks great, but I’m also thinking that Anthony looks really good too - not enough size to go toe to toe with Jay though.

This should be very exciting…

I think this is the best Branch we have ever seen

Kai takes this shot, IMO

I can see why someone said his back wins over the others.

But why are some of you guys saying he has a thick waist?

It’s no worse than Cutlers tho.
Yes, that is what I thought.

Bonez, Jay did have flaws. His lower back was not that dry, at least in this pose.

Darrem came in not shredded on purpose, he’s gearing up for 2010, he didn’t want to sacrifice his size (growth), he’s having a last run in 2010 big buy steez.

kai got harder, jay looked great for jay, dex was hard as nails but in my mind the same dex.

flex, shawn and dorian have dex 1, kai 2, jay 3, …some have heath as far back as 5 w/ branch ahead of him, but remember their gravy train too.

rockel could he top six ahead of vic IMHO.

posing round tonight.

Victor looked ok. His legs were clearly still lagging, and his waist looked slightly wider than usual. I don’t think he will place in the top 6, his conditioning was just not there.

Here is one with Victor, on the far right.

And my others post haven’t appeared yet, sorry for the consecutive posts.

Wolf again, smooth as butter :frowning:

Cool vid with some nice comparison shots in a slideshow. Just mute the tune…

I watched the link - thanks to you ( you know who you are ).

I was really impressed by Kai’s serratus anterior - it is not a muscle people usually notice.
His back is a winner - lower back conditioning dialed in or not.

His chest muscle is the most shapely, in my artistic opinion.

I also liked Branch Warren’s chest shape. His back not so impressive but I could eat a meal on one of his thighs - massive and solid.
I really like him overall but admit that next to Kai, he loses.

Purely from a female point of view, I think I would faint if I stood in the presence of one of these guys. This is not a sexual comment - it is just that there is something overwhelming about the size and the quality of enhanced muscle development.
A muscle supremacy, if you will.

It really is a marvel for the ‘wow’ factor.

kai got harder better as it progressed, dex was same dex but sharp as nails very good, jay was re-invented so to speak however i think a lot of it has to do w/ how we are getting use to jay looking, he was very well conditioned this year.

if kai began the night as hard as he was at the end of the night there might not be room for discussion.

dorian, flex, shawn have dex1, kai2, jay3 w/ some putting branch ahead of phil, and shawn putting phil ahead of jay. remembering their part of a gravy train though.

i see it as jay vs kai apple vs apple, w/dex locked at three…we’ll see how it turns out. jay does look much improved, dex is always amazing dex, and kai is the freaky future which could be now. phil did seem to not evolve from last year too much, his back was improved though, and branch was freaky.

Jay holding his own against Dex

Another close call

Poor Darrem, he did not bring is A-game. This could be the end of the line for his career
they said that Darrem has a proyect for like 2010 or 2011. He has always come in razor sharp but he wants his size to keep up with the big guys. This year, although he’s competing, he said he wasn’t to expect anything.

The only thing I disliked was they didn’t have enough close-ups/holding the cam still for close-ups

When they zoomed in you were like WHOAAAAAA at the level of detail, and then you realise compression makes them more blurred, so you think DAMN how must they look in real life.

Cutler just outmasses Heath here. I think i’ts between Kai and Jay

Here is a few of Ruhl…massive! He should be at least top 10 IMO
