Most Wicked Indeed

When the bitch from the well crawled through the tv in the grudge I lost my mind.

Good call on The Orphanage. That movie just creeeped me out.

x2 but the ending was weaksauce IMO.[/quote]

What I liked the ending, I actually cried a little you bastard. I was like no!!! SIMON!!!

I just saw the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween.

It is sickening! Although it does have that cheesy Rob Zombie HillBilliy vibe goin on

Maybe I’m just a little bitch, but all these trailers are freaking me out. I’ve never been a big horror movie kind of guy.

But I LOVE a good zombie flick. I just downloaded Dead Snow, and while it wasn’t up there, it was fucking funny.

Trailer for Thirst…from director of Old Boy:

The Exorcist

I thought the descent was pretty creepy, and ya when I saw the ring I shit myself.

It was time to catch up on things with my babe, so a trip to the picture show was in order. Luckily for us, there were two movies that were could possibly be deemed HORRORCORE playing this weekend. Those movies were pretty contrasting, but still amazing. Amazing in the spirit of brutality and plot.

First, Jennifer’s Body delivered some sexiness to the air. You know that girl from high school you had no chance with? You should be thankful! The story follows that beautiful piece of evil through her tracks to the pure unholy. This girl needs to feed hr beast inside, she is temptress…ultimate evil.

Secnd of the double dip, Halloween 2. I know I said keep that name out of this thread. That still applies to the originals…but this movie is just a revival of hardcore. The revamped Myers shows actual aggression and emotion. No longer is he the silent stalker, he’s the antisocial lunatic that the franchise needed. The plot f the movie actually made sense…much respect to Rob Zombie, he got this thing to its wicked max! its so “real”…there’s a scence where a guy gets his face STOMPED in, you gotta witness the power of the menace

Both stories come highly recommended, I know the movies are fairly new so I held back from getting into detail.

The Immortal

The original UK ending for The Descent was so much better. I can’t believe they cut the last 90 seconds or so from the original for the US release. Honestly, that last 90 seconds made the movie and just adds an air of hopelessnes to it, that the US version steals.

SPOILER

After she falls down the shaft at the end and has the flash of her daugher, climbs up and out, gets to the Jeep and escapes…well, that’s where the US version ends. The UK version, after she sees Juno’s ghost in the car, she wakes up back at the bottom of the shaft she fell down. She had gotten knocked out when she fell, and her entire escape was a dream. Then crawlers start showing up. End.

That’s the only version I’ve seen. I didn’t catch the US version in the theater.

Ya, the DVD version I think is the original. The US version in the theater and TV is the happy ending one.

Screw happy endings!
If I’m not shaken, stirred, or depressed after a film, it wasn’t worth it.

lol

See THAT is why I love horror films. There’s no sacred rule of everything’s-going-to-end happily.

Most movies it’s like OH NO! Trouble! But don’t worry it’ll be resolved in an hour and half.

Horror movies don’t adhere to that, there’s no rule that everything is okay in the end. No character is safe, and the ending can twist at the last second.

With the exception of the first 3, the Hell raiser franchise has been getting pretty masterful at mindblowing twists

especially Hell World

Blair witch project and the ring.

The Thing.

Men Behind the Sun

Irreversible, not for the faint of heart…if you have a heart, it isnt for you.
