And we are forgetting to mention the probably most powerful superhero ever, despise the fact that he doesn’t exist in the same universe as the other heroes.
Dr. Manhattan. He can bend physics and matter to his will, and it’s implied he can even create life. I’d say Manhattan to be the most powerful one.
Shame he wouldn’t care enough to fight against Superman.
And this shouldn’t be a “Why Superman is a piece of shit” thread.
Powerful characters in Marvel: Thor, Silver Surfer, X-man, Hulk
Powerful characters in DC: Superman, Firestorm, Martian Manhunter,
Also, power isn’t just strength alone. Really powerful characters need energy based powers, mental powers, and powers that can open dimensional doors. And you have to count in durability, toughness, and speed.
The Hulk, hands down. His strength potential is infinite (according to the Beyonder).
From wiki: Greg Pak described the Hulk shown during World War Hulk as having a level of physical power where “Hulk was stronger than any mortalâ??and most immortalsâ??who ever walked the Earth.”
Jesus, people. Its not all about Strength!!! You have to factor in all their abilities!!!
For example: Superman’s eye beams, Thor’s God Blast and personal knowledge of Magic, Martian Manhunter’s telepahtic powers, Silver Surfer’s power cosmic, X-man’s telepahtic and telekinetic abilities.

…but Batmaan is the greatest human superhero of all time.

God damn this forum is slow today. Redstar you cannot tell me that Doomsday is not a DC Hulk clone. When the folks at DC got together to decide to create a character that can KILL Superman isn’t it strange that they just made Hulk with an a bone exo skeleton? That’s because Hulk.Is.Unstoppable.
Wol is right about the judgment criteria although. If were basing it on his criteria I still gotta go with Ben Richards.

Dude, really?
You are really going to act like DC is unoriginal when characters like Hawkeye (poor man’s Green Arrow) exist?
