I have heard a statistic that during the 16th century in Europe, fully half of women that reached maturity would eventually die in childbirth.
Smaller infant headsize would hinder brain development. Larger female pelvis size would hinder walking. The evolutionary equilibrium that was reached appears to be a messy one.

Ironically, from what I’ve read, there wasn’t much of a wealth gap then BECAUSE the rich women could afford doctors and their dangerous pseudoscience.

Dad around, along with a dozen or more years Of schooling by female teachers, women become their lifelines of survival and validation. So even in adulthood they are constantly cooped up with receiving female validation and approval generally considering they want it from many women over and over.
A former close friend of mine was like this, and he actually got progressively worse after marriage, to the point in which being in public places became unbearable because of the constant surveilling of female presence. If we dined somewhere and our waitress was OK looking, he’d be so focused on her presence that it felt like I was talking to a wall. His das was gone for eleven months of the year when he was young. Wether that lack of presence was the root of his fixation, I don’t know. He did say his early exposure to pornography might have contributed to it, which might not have occurred if there was a man around.

I don’t think this is the case per se. It likely has more to do with the lack of modelling of good relationships between loving people vs absenteeism. It’s quite difficult to do something that hasn’t been taught/shown to a person.
It’s the same reason domestic abuse typically spans generations - boys grow up witnessing a male abuse their partner - they believe it’s acceptable behavior and do the same.

There are multiple ways you can go with this. I like the merging of the biblical story of why women have labor pains backed up by rational ideas about evolution. Basically human evolution into consciousness was an arms race between female hip width and baby head size. The main drivers of this change were fruit, predators, and female choice. Our vision was very likely developed around predator detection and finding ripe fruit. Human females being selective breeders (unlike chimps for instance) chose higher and higher intelligence and consciousness. These are the things that opened our eyes and made us self aware. If you read the biblical story that way, God’s proclamation of birth pain for women and toil for men makes sense just as a declaration of what will happen, not as a punishment. Our consciousness (as chosen by women) has those 2 results. Women have to deal with oversized heads, men gain the ability for bargaining with their future selves (and the work and worry that come with it).

Not really.
I actually think with dudes like that it’s more a case of “mommy issues” than dad not being around but I couldn’t tell you either way because like I said often both parents are negligent or absent.
And the grandparents who raised them didn’t seem the loving type either.
I also had friends (male and female) who seem to fall in love with someone different every month. Some have destroyed marriages not because of lust but because of an enfatuation.
I think it’s just different ways of filling an emotional void. Not that different from drugs, gambling, etc.
I like sex, and the rush of being in love is so good, but some just let these things take over their lives.
Why is he an asshole? I admit I haven’t looked into this guy, but to me he just seemed like a guy trying to do his job well and staying out of politics.
He’s both feet in politics and he lies and he’s been caught lying over and over. He even admitted lying about early on. He lied about not funding the gain of function research as ‘The Intercept’ amazingly did a deep dive and found to be true, that he did in fact fund the Wuhan institute.
So yeah, he’s a major, unelected, sick, power hungry, cock sucking, piece of shit. He lied about funding it. He lies all the time. So, yeah he’s an asshole because policy has been made and cost lives based on what this piece of shit says.

Just listen to what he has been saying for the past 2 years and how he has flipped flopped more than catfish out of water…that is all the evidence you need to form your own opinion
