More Trouble Than I Am Worth: Chaos Is The Plan (T3hPwnisher Log)

Much appreciated dude! They’re coming back. I let them fall to the wayside for a bit.

Milo of croton haha. Also How do you add weight to a keg each day? I know sandbags are different capacity, do u add sand or water?

Interesting. once I cut to a low body fat percentage and decide to put some muscle on, might buy some of these..

I remember when Keto was all the rage and those bricks were always sold out. You had to get on his notification of new batch emails and buy them quick or they were gone.

That’s why it’s Operation MILO, haha. I don’t add sand or water: I add weights, with spacers or plates. I have a loadable keg.

I’d be curious what shipping would be like to Australia. It may be easier to make your own if you’re interested. I primarily use them just for travel, but I experimented with one for this competition as well.

EDIT: That said, Robert actually uses them for fat loss phases. As far as keto goes, it’s a pretty surefire way to get in your keto macros for the day. He basically eats a brick a day and then a serving of meat. You COULD use them for gaining, but gaining is really pretty simple nutritionally.

@shaneinga They STILL sell out quick, haha. Especially the carnivore ones.

Rather than create drama in my “Intermittent Fatting” thread, I’ll just share my observation here that I’ve noted a correlation between people telling me to “just eat a normal balanced diet” and people that are abusing steroids and GLP-1 peptides…

I feel like we’re ALL unsatisfied with how life currently works: we just take different avenues to overcome it.

Back when I was doing Keto anything sweet was a nice change. I am trying to think of anything they are like, and honestly, I really can’t. When you bite into one, it’s usually from the corner and it breaks into pieces more than tears off.

They are good, but different.

This is a nice place to be. Opens up many options for training styles. I have my next comp on 23 August and then after that I will be moving into a growth phase too. Haven’t decided what training style I will use but I am sure I will settle of something soon. With your growth phase are you thinking more slow gain or road to super heavy weight.

Wow thought it was an acronym… And cool!

Yeah on days where it’s a little harder to get a meal in, would be perfect. I wonder what shipping would be too, for postage it’s like $20 aud to send parcels to the US, I’ve sent a couple within the last week.

It is! Haha. “Mass increase, Lifts Overload”. Named after Milo of Croton.

You could definitely make your own. Would just need tallow, protein powder and salt, and then just freeze it.

You know the answer to that by now, haha.

The weight will do what the weight does during the growing phase. Chasing scale weight defeats the purpose. I’ll be growing because I’ll be training hard and getting stronger. It may OPEN many options for training styles, but the path is already set for me: Tactical Barbell’s Mass Protocol. I’ll be a year on the program soon enough.

@shaneinga My last one was still partially melted, so it was a total mess, haha. But before that, it is a unique texture. Smushy but firm, and very velvety with the tallow.

MILO nutritional recap

Breakfast was the same as yesterday. For dinner, aside from the 3 eggs and 5 whites I’m posting what was served for the entire family. I had my fair share of pulled pork and grassfed beef sausage.

AM WORKOUT (0353 natural wake up)

TACTICAL BARBELL MASS PROTOCOL GREY MAN

Operation MILO Cycle 1, Week 1, Workout 4

“GO RUCK YOURSELF”

Treadmill walk w/20.4lb tac carrier

Speed: 3.5
Incline: 4.0
Distance: 5.25 miles
Time: 90 minutes

Notes:

  • So this is technically violating the conditioning protocols of Mass Protocol, as it says to ruck for 30-60 minutes, but the book ALSO says that those with experience with training and recovery can take conditioning protocols from Tactical Barbell II and apply them during Mass Protocol…which is what I did. In truth, with that natural wake up, I just made the most of the situation. If I COULD have slept more, I would have, and trained less, but I was already awake. In general, I’m not married to getting in 90 minutes of rucking a week, but if the opportunity presents, I’ll take it.

  • I at least let the intensity go down a touch by setting the incline to 4 instead of 6. I do want to keep the goal the goal here, and create an anabolic environment for growth during this growth phase.

  • Weighed 81.1 this morning, so a .5lb drop from Monday, and a 1kg drop from yesterday. I imagine I’m seeing the effects of inflammation with the weight spike, as it correlates with the DOMS I’ve been feeling. The ruck was good for getting my body feeling limber again.

  • Tang Soo Do was a decent workout last night. We may be going again tonight, but the rest of the family seems to be coming down with something, so we’ll see. Also got in a 2.3 mile walk with the tac vest.

  • Keg carry yesterday was 177.5lbs. Slow and steady. I’m actually considering getting a loadable hussafel stone for this little project of mine, as I feel like it would meet intent more. Something to think about.

I don’t think tortillas are too bad in the grand scheme of carbs, but I’m going to have to try this.

For me, it’s not about the carbs but about the plants. Cutting them out of my diet really just turned things around. Because from an energy perspective, these things are going to be fairly loaded compared to a traditional corn tortilla, even when using whites instead of whole eggs, but they definitely answer the mail.

There are a ton of really cool carnivore/animal recipe ideas out there. I’m reading through Paul Saladino’s “Carnivore Code Cookbook”, and the book presents a lot of ways to achieve breads, wraps, pitas, flatbread, pizza crusts, etc. I honestly prefer NOT to try to replicate the foods that caused me problems, as keeping things simple and closer to nature tends to allow me to rely on natural hunger and satiety signals, but every once in a while it’s fun to play with our food and come together as a family over a meal.
