More Trouble Than I Am Worth: Chaos Is The Plan (T3hPwnisher Log)

Definitely food for thought in that last blog post. You might have pushed me towards some bad ideas.

Shhhh don’t tell people that old stuff works or they won’t but buy the new stuff :joy:

@simo74 I feel like I just owe it to myself to go BACKWARDS in time at this point to appreciate what the past has to offer.

@dagill2 Hope it’s a move in a good bad direction dude!

@mr.v3lv3t Means a lot to be ranked up there. There is a lot of power in that quote.

PM WORKOUT (1430)

20 reps of Buffalo Bar Squat w/410+20 reps of texas deadlift bar touch and go deadlifts w/405

Used rest pause. Squats went 12+4+4, deads went 8+6+6

2 mile weighted vest walk with dog

Notes: Honestly just plain didn’t want to train today. Coming off the 2 12s, staying up all day to reset my clock yesterday, deadlifted hard and heavy yesterday, wasn’t feeling great. Instead of the epic workout I’d been doing, I decided to just push the weight high and go for what I could. Pleased with this. Squat depth was junky because my knees are shooting WAY forward, and that’s a consequence of my posterior chain still being pretty chewed up from yesterday’s deads, but I’m happy with where my strength was for that, and I think it’s nutty that I got those deads in 3 sets when that’s how much it takes me to get 315 done normally.

2 mile walk afterwards was agony, and I feel like I’m self-destructing now. Good workout.

Jesus man, you beat the weight that Anderson used when he did this in the OG inspiration for this madness. Just beyond impressive that you could get this done, especially if you take even a moment to consider body weight strength ratios. Just disgusting work man, I love it

@startingagain @T3hPwnisher thanks for the detailed discussion re calorie intake and the links to the G flux articles. Makes. So. Much sense!

I’m curious, what’s the standard for females

Honestly, I don’t think there is any ā€œstandardā€ for this challenge. Just find a weight that scares you, and lift it. I’m just impressed that PWN managed it with the same weight as another extremely accomplished lifter who easily had 80lbs on him!

@atlas13 Very much appreciated dude! High praise from you. My goal is to one day perform it in the manner Jon did: squat all the reps in a single set, drop the barbell behind me, turn right around and hammer the deads. I’d permit myself the exception of time to take off the shoes/roll down the sleeves and maybe grab some figure 8s, but otherwise keep it legit. It’s been great having something to chase again.

@boyce79 Absolutely dude! Berardi is just awesome. G-flux was an idea I had in my head that I thought ā€œThere’s GOT to be something to thisā€, and finding out that, yeah, there is, and we figured it out a while ago, was pretty awesome.

@anna_5588 I’d love to share that with you sometime!

Slept pretty well until 0618 this morning and kicked it off with 40 rounds of burpees over bar, 20 seconds on/10 seconds off, fasted. Thinking of going ā€œoff programā€ today as it’s the final day and I don’t really care about pressing that much. Will see what unfolds.

That was crazy impressive to watch. Even more so when I read the notes afterwards. Still not convinced you’re human.

@Koestrizer Very much appreciated dude! I assure you I am Human: All too Human, haha.

PM WORKOUT (1400)

Did this

I managed 152 reps in 30 minutes using 156lbs on an axle at an estimated 185lbs bodyweight. All sets started from the floor.

Finished up with a not quite 2 mile walk with an 80lb vest with the dog.

Deload has begun, Deep Water next week.

Sounds like a real fun time Pwn !!

I couldn’t believe how much I was sweating when it was over!

I forgot to mention (will need to edit) that I took all sets from the floor vs out of the rack, which added to the suck.

I already assumed this, as I remember you saying you would be doing this for all pressing.

@simo74 I just have to include it to explain why I was so much worse than Jamie, haha.

AM WORKOUT (0330 wake up via alarm)

GIANT SET WARM UP (jump-squat-row)

Box jump
3x3

Buffalo Bar Squat
5xBar
3x140
3x230

T-bar row 100
3x10

WORKOUT

Juarez Vaelly squats w/jumps and rows.

Go 3 box jumps-10 squats-10 rows, then 3 jumps-1 squat-10 rows, etc.

Started with 320lbs, after that series was finished, went with 230, after that series was finished, ended with 40x140 buffalo bar squat

Belt squat dropset, starting with 200, then 175-150-125-100-75-50-25-axle

POST WORKOUT SHAKE

EXTRA CONDITIONING

10 KB swings-10 dips-10 swings-4 ab wheels

5 rounds of the above, buy out with 50 swings

Done in 10:30

Notes: I’m sure there’s a better way to log all that, but ultimately I got 150 reps of Bufalo bar squats in this morning as part of my deload workout. Had to make the jumps a little on the shallow side. Jumping before squats is awesome: jumping AFTER squats is tricky. I like how this worked out.

Went to do some burpee chins and had nothing in my upper body pressing muscles. Went for dips and my triceps were murdered. Looks like that 30 minute press thing worked.

Gonna hit the prowler tomorrow, and that might be my last time doing it for a while as I take on Deep Water. I have a 10 mile race in Apr I need to start prepping for.

Cannot wait

This looks awful. Luckily I’m too weak to do it RX, so I’ll have to scale it.

Or learn how to jerk, haha. But scaling is absolutely viable.

85% bodyweight for me right now is over my Press 1RM, so I can probably get it over my head, but likely less than 10 times in 30 minutes, which doesn’t really seem to fit the spirit of the challenge.
