People make fun of homeless people all the time. Why are these guys getting singled out?
Teasdale is well know asshole…yet crossfit HQ stands right behind him.
Meanwhile they excommunicate guys like Danny John, Robb Wolf and Rippetoe.
The best part of that article was Crossfit corporate council Dale Saran jumping into the comments to drop learning bombs on all the “stupid” people posting there.

Because they’re involving the Crossfit brand in their stupidity and posting said stupidity on their website and FB pages.

It’s not called skid row for nothing. Of course it’s a shithole.
But the overarching point here is that humiliating people worse off than you is utterly classless - it’s beyond crossfit, it’s about how men should act in public.
And fuck me if I don’t think that Aryan philosophy they’ve got of “We’re just better than you” doesn’t contribute to this kind of thing taking place - there’s only so many times you can hear shit like that before it starts seeping into your character.
Take it for what it’s worth, it’s just my opinion. But I see this as things that these ADULTS have learned inside the gym, spilling into their life OUTSIDE the gym.
Good post.
Would you go so far as to say that considering crossfit’s advertising depicting “uncultivated” athletes as “Lunks” or “Meatheads”, that the actions of these pricks somehow reflect the elitist attitude of CF’s target customers?
I think you’re mixing up Crossfit with Planet Fitness?
It’s not like the guy even knew it happened. Besides, he got a free t-shirt out of the deal. I’ll bet that’s more generous than 99% of the people so gallantly defending the homeless from a keyboard.
In all seriousness though, what is the big deal? Dude is on a public street, fucked up and passed out. That is disrespectful. At least they didn’t draw a penis on his forehead. I saw much worse at college parties.
