I know lol. It was AWESOME. Without giving away the ending, I totally called it.

I actually saw the episode of Tosh.o first of them making fun of the “What’s in the box?” scene, which got me curious.

Rewatched “Inside Man” and “3:10 to Yuma” over the weekend, highly recommended for those that have not saw them.

Just started Saw: The Final Chapter. I honestly can’t remember if I’ve seen all of the movies prior lol.

If anyone wants to see a great vampire movie that strays from the norm…check out “Let Me In” I believe it is a remake from a swedish? film, just great child actors and a great love story.

Yep, great movie (the original, at least. I haven’t seen the remake.)

I did some damage to my Netflix instant queue over the weekend. Some of the notables:

William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (with Dicaprio and Danes). Somehow I never got around to seeing this version before. Freaking loved it. Highly stylized, but it had a great feel and the Old English dialogue didn’t feel stuffy.

Doghouse. Think Dead Alive meets Bachelor Party. A group of dudes end up in a small English village and get attacked by literal man-eating demon women. Gory fun.

Altitude. From the trailer, I expected The Mist set on a twin-engine plane in the sky. It was okay, and certainly could’ve been great, but the last half-hour suckeD with a capital D. Unfortunately, I called the ending halfway into it.

The Horde. I saw some of you guys talking about this a while ago. Good call. It’s the first french horror film that I really enjoyed. I didn’t dig High Tension or Martyrs, but this was plenty action-y without any heavy philosophical message or crazy twist like other French flicks. The crazy old dude was great. My gal and I disagree on the last scene (no spolier). I liked it, she didn’t.

Howard the Duck. I felt like rewatching it, because it’s still all kinds of '80s awesomeness.

Paintball. I wanted to check it out because I’m into paintball. Basic story: Six folks go into the woods to play paintball and find out they’re being hunted for real. Dun-dun-dunnnnn. Not great, but not horrible.

Hangover II- ehh was ok, no where near as good or as funny as the first

Pirates 4- big let down. Was ok, but 1 & 3 are among my all time fave movies. #4 just wasn’t on the same field, especially without Ms Swan

I thought The Hangover 2 was about as funny as te first. The first was still a bit better.

I just popped in Visioneers with Zach Galifenoogens (not even gonna try to spell his name). It’s really different so far, but pretty funny

Jackie Brown

Some funny shit.

Sample of script below:

Ordell Robbie: [Ordell has bailed Beaumont out of jail] Look at you and your free ass. Come here, boy, gimme a motherfuckin’ hug.
Beaumont: Good lookin’ out, man. I don’t know what to say. Thank you, thank you…
Ordell Robbie: Uh-huh. Who was there for your ass?
Beaumont: You were there for my ass.
Ordell Robbie: Who?
Beaumont: You.
Ordell Robbie: Who?
Beaumont: You!
Ordell Robbie: Whooo?
Beaumont: You nigga, damn!
Ordell Robbie: You goddamn right. That’s how that shit works: you get your ass in trouble, I get your ass out. That’s my motherfuckin’ job. And I don’t mind telling you, nigga, it’s steady work.

Beaumont: I’m still scared as a motherfucker, O.D. They talking like they serious as hell giving me time for that machine gun shit.
Ordell Robbie: Aw, come on, man, they just trying to put a fright in your ass.
Beaumont: Well, if that’s what they doin’, they done did it.
Ordell Robbie: How old is that machine gun shit?
Beaumont: About three years…
Ordell Robbie: Three years? That’s a old crime, man! They ain’t got enough room for all the niggas running around killing people today, now how are they gonna find room for you?

Ordell Robbie: Look, I hate to be the kinda nigga does a nigga a favor, then, BAM!, hits a nigga up for a favor in return. But I’m afraid I gots to be that kinda nigga.
Beaumont: Whatchu mean?
Ordell Robbie: I need a favor, nigga!

Beaumont: Man, you must be out of your fuckin’ mind if you think I’m gonna get in this dirty-ass trunk.
Ordell Robbie: We ain’t going nowhere but to Koreatown, man. You ain’t gonna be locked in here no more than ten minutes.
Beaumont: I ain’t ridin’ in no trunk for no minute, man.

Beaumont: I just ain’t getting in no goddamn, dirty-ass trunk man. I got a problem with small places.
Ordell Robbie: Well I got a problem with spending ten thousand dollars on ungrateful, peanut-head niggas to get 'em out of jail, but I did it!

Ordell Robbie: Is that what I think it is?
Jackie Brown: What do you think it is?
Ordell Robbie: I think it’s a gun pressed up against my dick.
Jackie Brown: Well, you thought right. Now take your hands off from around my throat, nigga.

Louis: Who’s that?
Ordell Robbie: That’s Beaumont.
Louis: Who’s Beaumont?
Ordell Robbie: An employee I had to let go.
Louis: What’d he do?
Ordell Robbie: He put himself in a position where he was going to have to do ten years in prison, that’s what he did. And if you know Beaumont, you know ain’t no god damn way he can do ten years. And if you know that, then you know Beaumont’s gonna do anything Beaumont can to keep from doing them ten years, including telling the federal government any and every motherfucking thing about my black ass. Now that my friend is a clear cut case of him or me. And you best believe it ain’t gonna be me.

Dead in the trunk.

Classic Samuel L

MICHAEL FUCKEN CLAYTON.

I have seen that movie a bunch of times and I am in awe everytime of how well the story and dialogue is in that movie. I mean the fucken intro narration just sets the mood perfectly and gives me chills whenever i hear it.

This movie sets out to tell a GOOD story and does with tremendous gusto.

I really wish I could tell a story as engrossing as this movie. Makes me want to be a screenwriter :P.

Saw The Fugitive for the first time ever.

Now i have to see US Marshalls. I just hafta.

The American version was better than the original version IMO.
The budget was bigger which made the quality higher (stylized camera usage, lighting, etc…)
The acting was also much more notable than in the original.
I enjoyed the original when I saw it, but the remake blew me away.

Totally agree.

This film had one of those “fuck yeaaaahhhhh!” endings which made me re-watch it again right after I saw it the first time.

Saw a movie Called NEDS this past weeken (Non Educated DelinquentS) by Peter Mullan (Trainspotting) about young gang stuff in Glasgow, movie is pretty good worth a watch if your bored, loved accents, man those glogonaians love to use the word cunt.

Just rewatched X2 and had cried a nostalgic tear, even though clearly not in comic continunity the film still made references to project wide awake(sentinals), project rebirth(captain america), latveria(dr doom), and characters like Dani Moonstar(new mutants) and a furless Hank Mccoy(not played by Kelsey Grammer). Why did the producers fuck up that franchise with X3 and Wolverine?

I dont know but apparently theres going to be a Wolverine 2.

Funny story I saw this movie on opening day in a packed theatre with a friend and the “lust” scene he and I both started bursting out laughing(come on that guy was hysterical) well we made such an impression the people nearest us actually went someplace else to watch the film. This also happened during Dark Knight and the pencil disappearing, as well as Tropic Thunder.

I’ve watched Kung Fu Panda 2, Thor, Pirates 4

KFP – still funny!!!

Thor – well made

Pirates 4 – was ok but kinda different without the complete cast

“The Jacket”

Excellent thriller with Adrien Brody as a Gulf War vet killed, brought back, then accused of murder he didn’t commit. Film takes us through his trying to find the true killer… plus lots of cool stuff.
