The Shawshank Redemption- I tend to not watch this movie for years at a time because it’s so damn good I don’t want it to wear thin with me. One of the all time greats.
Dog Soldiers- One of these lesser known fun and gory werewolf movies. The werewolves themselves looked like shit but that’s not the point of the movie. It’s fun and brilliantly acted. Doesn’t try to be scary and bring new idea’s to a tired concept, it just, well… fun.
Defiance - Liked it, but I thought it was a little slow.
Grand Torino - Liked it a lot. Clint Eastwood is great!
Entourage: Season 3 - I only recently got into this show, so I’ve been trying to power through all the seasons as quick as I can. I love the show though. So far I’ve enjoyed every season equally. I’m already a few episodes into Season 4.
cant wait for tru blood on the 14th…Im not a real vampire movie fan but this is different, and now shapeshifters and possibly werewolves? Im fucking there. Embarrased to say I actually really liked twilight…I guess I am into vampire movies.
I watched season 4 weeds in one night I actually really enjoyed it Kevin Nealon is fucking hillarious, first ep of season 5 kinda sucked.
Nurse Jackie has alot of potential.
I recently watched Tigerland an older Colin Farrel movie excellent movie espescially if you like vietnam flicks.
Rescue Dawn I just watched for the 10th time. While Christian Bale is as awesome as ever Werner Herzog is just a magnificent director cinematography was amazing

Mongol - It was ok. The costumes were the most impressive part. The story just seemed to loop. It was kind of cool to learn a little of the ways of the Mongols though.

I have Mongol on Blu-Ray, the visuals are absolutely amazing. Serious eye candy (nature wise). It’s not exactly historically accurate but for what it is, it’s a pretty decent movie. From what I’m told it’s supposed to either have a sequel or be a trilogy. Either way, I’d love to see the next installment. I bet the battlescenes would be the most ferocious out of every pre-gunpowder movie ever made.
Tropic Thunder - I have to say I did enjoy this movie, the funny parts were absolutely hilarious. However, I found that sometimes there would just be too much time in between laughs. However, that was my only real complaint about the movie, because if it’s offensive… chances are I’ll like it. This movie, was awesome. Haha
As has been said, The Hangover was fucking great. See it with friends preferably. Just as I had predicted, my buddies were already planning a trip to Vegas before we had even gotten out of the theater.
i dont get to watch movies too often because my 15 month old daughter is a heathen and goes out of her way to make sure i dont watch many haha. but this week:
the punisher war zone - not bad, probably just because i love the punisher. i think hes a damn good frank castle, but jesus christ the kills in that movie were ridiculous, i think i laughed my ass off at half them, especially the rocket at the guy flipping off the building. glad i didnt buy it though
True Blood - just started on this, i think im on episode 4. good show, really has my attention. i think its just so strange i cant help but want to keep watching.
OZ - i fucking loved this show when it came out at the end of the 90’s. i missed a ton of them, so i started from the beginning. am at season 4 right now and cant get enough
hoping to finally watch Batman Begins then FINALLY see The Dark Knight. i only saw bits and pieces of Begins, never got to see it all, and i thought it would make more sense of the Dark Knight when I see that. how sad am i? most of the movies i watch are probably at least 6-12 months old. have to wait until they come out on blu ray.
I’ve been on a horror movie trip lately. If you have any suggestions let me know.
This past week:
Ilsa She Wolf of the SS - crazy
CHUD - hilarious
Happy Birthday to Me - awesome ending
Dance of the Dead - campy and fun
Silent Night Deadly Night - amamzingly awesome Santa Killer.
Tonight I’ve got April fools day, Cannibal holocaust, Scanners. Gonna be awesome.
The last time I saw “Erasurehead” was back in 1982. Well I just watched it again two nights ago and I still love it. Its absurd, pathetic, and unsettling premise, shot in the classic noir format make this film a David Lynch masterpiece, IMHO.
Gladiator - Not the movie that my avatar is from, but the boxing movie with Cuba Gooding Jr. Great movie I highly recommend this. A movie for guys who appreciate tough, and I mean tough guys who like to beat the crap out of each other.
