another spangly mantard!!
always order the manotard two sizes too small, and then walk around cross eyed and drooling on yourself. makes it more fun.

Nope. You need a mantard, tighty whities, long socks, a no-logo t-shirt, and some flat-sole shoes. Belts, wraps, and sigle-ply gear is optional. No thongs allowed. You will have a blast. [/quote]
Thongs are allowed. We just don’t talk about them…
WOO HOO!! another mantard…

Don’t ask don’t tell?
Your not kidding they have some strict rules.
Now this is definately getting cultish. I knew I heard a giant sucking sound once I started the Wendler program. Now I know where it’s coming from.
XS Manotard, I’m on my way.
You bench sure looks good enough to compete. I’m going to start giving it a shot even if my bench blows rhino.

I think its sad that my bench is about as strong as my deads and squats, but overall I’m a happy camper just to be doing this shit. I know the back and legs are going to come up this year. Just being patient.
It dawned on me yesterday that I’m going to have trouble keeping my weight below 200 for a meet later this year. I’ve never been this “heavy” in my life, but my bodyfat is pretty low as is and I know my weight isn’t going to get any lower as my lifts increase. There’in is the next challenge. Hoping to be a low-fat 198 for competition season.
Cry me a river.
You can always just go the BOF route for your first meet if you want (that is Bench Only Fag). Or do all three, whatever. I train with lots of BOFs, and have bordered lately on being one myself. I do see that Titan is now making pink bench shirts…

I gave that option some deep and serious thought.
For about a NY minute.
As for gear…
The pink bench shirt could be enough to push me to the dark side.
Your bench is very strong.
the other lifts will come.
I think the deal with competing is to get your feet wet, no matter where your lifts are.
I squat and dead reasonable numbers, yet my bench is always in the shitter go figure.
All the mobility crap I do - is at the top of the forum in a sticky.
It makes a ton of difference for me.
All these big hosses can tell you more about squatting or pulling then I ever can.

C2/W3
MP Day -
Standing Military
20xbar, 10x95, 5x130, 3x145, 3x165
BBB:
5x10x95
Pull ups:
10xBW, 8xBW, 6xBW, 5xBW, 5xBW
Wasn’t feeling it today. Think I’m a little worn out from Mon/Tues and this is the heavy week in the cycle.
Still got the reps in.
I’m going to continue raising the monthly 1RM until I can’t get the reps in, then work it for a couple of cycles. Guessing a couple more cycles before I plateau.
Is this the pink bench shirt I should wear to my first meet?
Won’t have to worry about the second meet. What kinda sport makes you wear a mantard? Real mean wear skirts, er, kilts. Jump in and compete. I’d find it a lot harder to mke my workouts if I didn’t have somekind of comp to look forwad to. First ones to learn the ropes anyway.

Only if you can lift like this:
Nice work!
Good stuff guys.
After watching Jowee’s deadlift video and the little girl above, I was jacked for this mornings deadlift session. It’s been 7 months since my spinal ligament pull and I’m getting much more confidence.
C2/W3 5/3/1 Week
Deadlifts:
stretching, mobility, warmup
Sumo 10x135, 5x185, 3x225, Template had me stopping there but I needed more
Conventional 3x275, 3x275, 3x295, 3x295, 8x225.
Rack Pulls:
3x315, 5x315, 8x315.
A lot of this was trial and error. No real errors, just determining where I had the best leverage with stance and hand set up.
Hanging Leg Raises:
8xBW, 5xBW, 5xBW, 5xBW, 5xBW
My extensors felt it the most today. Legs and lockouts were no problem.
Feeling pretty good about the ole back.
Conventional Deads are much easier for some reason, but I’m going to keep mixing them up with sumos.
Time to slide into deload week.
Pee Out.
Nice Pullin’ OP…I am betting you will busting out some big numbers sooner rather than later…
Good looking pulls. Thats a lot of weight lifted for a lot of reps.

Ditto… Nice work OP. Millies are looking good as well.
Good work OP nothing to be ashamed about with your pulling.
Looks like you are making a lot of progress on deads. Nice work.
Thanks OG, U42, LS, JW, and JK I’m very happy with the progress so far. After deload I start my 3rd cycle. I’ve reviewed my log since Jan and things are look’in positive.
For the last two cycles I’ve based my 1RM’s on the following:
cycle 1 → cycle 2.
Bench 330 → 335 (Current PR of 6x285) = 342
Squat 315 → 325 (Current PR of 5x280) = 326
MP 190 → 195 (Current PR of 8x155) = 196
Deads 250 → 275 (Current PR of 3x295) = 325
For cycle 3 I’m moving my 1RM calcs to:
Bench 345
Squat 335
MP 200
Deads 335
Gained 4lbs since Jan. consistant 194lb. Countdown to 51 y.o., 5 months.
Gunna push hard this cycle. Got a bunch-o bitnez travel coming up this spring.
Money Set Goals:
Week 1 - 9 reps
Week 2 - 7 reps
Week 3 - 5 reps
