DB Bench 100s x 15, 130s x 13
rolling tris w/minis 3 x 10 w/90s
flys 3 x 10 w/80s
rope down/extensions 3 x 15 each
Hammer strength preacher 5 x 10
cable lateral 3 x 15
cable front 3 x 12
shoulder horns 3 x 12
cable abs 3 x 15
Nothing to failure, except the DB bench
next morning I got up bright and early after not sleeping well on a crappy pull out couch. My body ached. Drove 30 minutes north of where I was to Monster Garage Gym. Met Eric Maroscher, one of the owners, said I was planning on just pulling but just signed up for a monolift squat meet, and I am a monolift virgin. There were some other guys just showing up to squat and the were all happy to let me work in. Didn’t use my suit, went raw like this:
145 x 10, 235 x 5, 325 x 5, 415 x 3, 465 x 3, 505 x 2, 555 x 2, 595 x 1, 615 x 1
615 was easy, but with something like 5-8 guys taking turns on the mono almost 2 hours had passed, and some others were waiting to get in.
It was awesome working with a bunch of guys who were pushing there squats, and getting depth calls and form cues.
I wrapped up with RDLs 325 x 5, 415 x 5, x 5
I squatted both the day before driving down and the day before driving up. Sore hips and pchain makes windshield time a tad uncomfortable, just so ya know. And thank god they sell muscle milk at every fricken gas station between Minneapolis and Chicago, about the only quality protein I got.
