Yup. Shirted bench, raw DL. From what I have seen the DL suits don’t do ‘that much’ anyway. I don’t really have a max in the shirted bench to go by. I have been steadily increasing my lockouts with the boards, which is where I stall with this loose, IPF level shirt. And I am new to it. 435 will be the opener, 470 second, and go from there for the third. Which is kind of pathetic as before I did my shoulders in I was good for a raw 450 to 480 touch and go. I hope to move it into the 500s over the next few months.
Put the shirt on, go ahead, just do it… It isn’t that addictive. Plus, in a ‘fitness center’ people look at you even funnier.
Did drag my ass out of bed for 25 minutes on the elliptical. I hadn’t done cardio since Friday, so it was very necessary. I have a huge problem getting to sleep after heavy week night training.

Glad you are feelin better Petey… had us scared there for a bit. Awesome pressin’… lord love a duck.
Heheheheh… I remember when I was about that kids age and walked into a gym… ahhhhh, memories (sniff)[/quote]
Thanks mang. The pull is going to be a game day decision, but I have a feeling now I will be just fine.
When I was that kids age I was lucky enough to have a truely hardcore, barebones, bodybuilding/powerlifting gym open up near me. My mom signed me up right away because she was nervous with me benching 135 w/o a spotter at home. The place was great, and the owners taught me a lot… In retrospect I wish I would have learned more about PL back then, I was way more into having legs like Platz and pecs like Arnold… Never got either.
More of the fad this morning: 25 minutes elliptical. It was actually really hard for me to do. I did not want to get out of bed when the alarm went off. Oh well. Be testing my back out today w/DE lower.
Thanks KMC. DE lower today, what will look and feel like ME upper tomorrow, and then last lower on Sunday (no full range pulling though). Openers are set, body is ready for the deload, but frankly I always go a little nuts not going into the gym for a week…
Squat: 335 + green (average) bands, 14 inch box 8 sets of 2, about 30 seconds rest. Cut it to 8 sets because lots going on at work, and it was ever so mildly irritating my low back/glute issue.
close stance good mornings 4 x 10 light and tight
super setted with hanging leg raise 4 x 10
one legged leg press 4 x 10-15
leg curls 3 x 10
Nothing outstanding to report, but that is kind of typical for DE work. Hamstrings so pumped it sucked putting boxers back on after showering.
repeat: again, 25 minutes cardio. last 10 while watching the New Mickey Mouse Club. Hot dog! looking forward to sleep. Back was a little stiff this a.m., the cardio did the trick for loosening it.
We’ll call today circa max training. Felt beat to hell and all the weights felt heavy. Last benchin’ session, body will repair itself.
Reverse band bench (average band): 225 x 15, 275 x 10, 315 x 5, 365 x 5, 405 x 5, 455 x 3, 505 x 2, got stuck and needed a ‘finger touch’ spot on 3, 455 x 4
Dbell bench 100s x 15, 130s x 6, x 6
Rolling tris w/mini band around back 4 x 8-10 w/70s
Pressdowns with/mini band around back 3 x stack x 10-20
Lateral raise 4 or 5 x 8-12 w/50s
Doesn’t look like much but it really kicked my ass today. Go in for a heavy lower Sunday and then rest, sweet rest.
Good luck on the close grips Eco. I think the fact that I did my true ME Tuesday, and basically doing another ME bench on Friday, really took it out of me. I could feel it big time. Had a really hard time setting up on my bench too because my rhomboids, lower back, and hamstrings were real tight form yesterdays DE session. Oh well, move onward.

you soldiered on though. i couldn’t imagine doing bench or anything for that matter more than once a week. i’m all torn up from yesterday’s deadlift day.
Thanks Meat. With the deload I am hoping for big things. It has worked in the past.
Looking forward, I just ordered a squat suit. Next training cycle is going to be full meet oriented. Per usual, I went a size or two too big, just to learn the process better. Once I have benching and squatting in single ply loose gear, I may start tightening up the size, and upping the plys. This shit is fun.
