All these sugestions are good but I don’t think necassary…

Your trying to do a no holds barred bulk here so as long as your getting enough protien and tons of carbs I see no need to over analyze what your eating.

It sounds like your making progress… but if it were me with $500 on the line and not overly concerned about fat gain (your only talking 8 weeks anyway so not like your going to become obese) I would not be happy with 2lbs/week gain.

I say up your calorie intake, hopefully you have been keeping a eating log so you know how much you have been eating so you can add 500-1000 calories to that.

Update:

The 8 weeks is almost up. I’m currently tipping the scales anywhere from 183-185 lbs. By the looks of things, I’m pretty sure the $500 is in the bag, but you never know. I still have a 6-pack and I’ve noticed only a little fat gain on the love handles.

I’ve learned a ton in the last 8 weeks and I’m going to continue bulking until 200+ lbs. I’ve really cleaned my diet up after reading most of JB’s articles, although I’m still struggling to add fats to my diet.

I’m not celebrating yet, but T-Nation has really come through for me. Thanks for the help, i’ll post the results soon.
