Work sets were easy and pretty fast, nothing to comment on there otherwise.
I tried to do the BBB ATG squats with low bar, but I can’t get down there correctly due to hitting the squat rack supports at the gym. I went high bar and then I could hit depth. The weight’s light enough that I can stay upright but heavy enough to kill my thighs and butt. So not used to that range of motion - it takes 5-10 minutes to get my breath back after a set. It’s harder, too, because my stance is closer and I’m concentrating on descending and rising on my weak right leg. I just wanted a nap after that.
I’m not sure men have the flexibility in general This may be a good opportunity for a vid call-out. or you can just ignore my badgering of course. I don’t bite.
There are lots of men who squat ATG. All the Oly lifters, for example, in order to clean heavy weights from the floor.
I swear, my back just isn’t big enough to vary where I carry the bar for squats (high bar vs. low bar).
And unadjustable squat rack supports just suck. For people my size, I can’t even hit parallel in them. I have to walk the bar all the way out. Which is just pointless.
If the Albino says they are ATG, they are ATG. Take that to the bank.
On the formula, I actually think it is pretty accurate to predict max potential–but sometimes you got to do a little heavy work first before taking a max to realize that potential.

Thanks for the support, Jack, since I can’t prove my claims - my camera has an infection. It still takes pictures and vids, I just can’t see them. Time for a new one.

I was teasin… did that not come through even with the crappy smiley?
sigh you make me feel like an idiot everytime I check out your log DCA. had to google scapular winging… is it painful?

I’m sorry, my own tone musta been too serious “sounding.” I knew you was joshin’. Scap winging is not painful, but it is a semi-serious imbalance that needs to be addressed or it can result in shoulder injury. I has it on the right side.
Bought some weightlifting shoes tonight. Close-stance, deep squats are going to be a regular thing and I was tipping forward pretty badly last time, going on my toes. If I’m going to be there I want my heels on something hard.
