But don’t forget to EAT

THAT was some funny bullshit!
…sad but true
Absolutely hilarious DCA. I trade stocks to (try to) make a living, and I NEVER watch financial news. You think regular news is bad…

My understanding of financial news is that you should do the exact opposite of what they tell you you should do these days, they are such outrageous liars…

Financial news is to enable the financial pundits to make money - not me and thee…
I have been abso-frackin’-lutely hammered the past few. Not recovering at all, mood’s been in the dumper - like “thinking about setting fire to the neighbor’s dog” in the dumper and I actually like the dog. I think this is going to be a week-long layoff. Maybe longer.
We can’t do without you for a week.
I prescribe steak, hot tubs, and beautiful women. You’ll be right as rain in a week.

Ahem, I feel like I’m coming down with something…
I utterly and completely sympathize. Just keep on swimming through to the other side. It will be better.
Your volume and training have changed a lot, might be time for a break but something you said tickled a memory about serotonin levels dropping as your body adapts to new workloads.

PS. Joe’s advice sounds pretty bulletproof too
what you need is some fun. Are any of your neighboors HS cheerleaders? just sayin
Tony you have been killing it
nice squat video…
ive just had a bit of ‘forced vacation’
what about a week of bw goofiness
K - It’s been 9 days and I think I’m unburnt enough to start training again. Been a sucky week, but I guess you need those so you can appreciate the easy times.
I need to get reasonable on the strength training if I’m going to do the O-lifts - limit the volume on power lifts while I’m doing volume training on snatch/C&J. Gotta cogitate a bit on how to organize it.
Glad you’re back.
I’ve missed your Oly lifting vids.

In all seriousness, I’m interested to hear what you come up with. I’m in kind of a similar quandry at the moment, and another perspective would be golden.

Well, I’m thinking I’ll keep the 10 sets on snatch and C&J - doubles for the first and singles for the latter.
Day1
Snatch 2x10
high bar Squat to single + 5
Overhead Press 5x2
Pullups AMAPx3
Day 2
C&J 1x10
Squat or Front Squat to single + 5
Overhead Press 3x3
Pullups weighted 3x3
Day 3
Snatch 2x5
C&J 1x5
Incline Press to single + 5 or AMAP@70% if shoulders feel weird.
Squat Lighter and fast - 5x2
Curls?
I dunno. I write down a plan and then usually don’t follow it. The O-lifts are for sure, the rest is variable.
I only get to go up in weight if I’m doing the O-lifts right for all sets.
Delightful to see you back here. There has been plenty of sucky to go around this past little while, so I’m hoping its over with.

Snatches felt good. I always drop them when I don’t finish the pull. I def have weakness in the bottom, literally, which makes catching the weight low difficult once I get a bit fatigued. Only more snatches will fix this.
Squats felt heavy. This weight should be light for me. I’m not surprised though, since I lost 10 pounds over my break.
Kept presses lighter since I’m doing them differently. Keeping the elbows out more or the right elbow out, actually. Left elbow has always been out where it should be - it’s the right shoulder I keep going easy on by pushing the elbow forward.
Pullups sucked, but I did them chest up all the way - no hunching at the bar.
