$. Looks like you’ve got a grasp of the fundamentals. More practice and you’ll be getting it. Carl can give you some meaningful advice.
I just learned more about snatching from the blooper reel than I could’ve from watching successes.
Plus, I’ll admit a great appreciation for the no-shirt situation.
HEY! - The bumper plates finally arrived!
Looks like you’re having some fun with them…
those did not look bad at all-
good efforts.
how is your hang snatch ? can you do them from the power or RDL start?
glad kimba could help with superior creeping abilities
Bench Press
145x10
184x5
208x3
233x5 (est max 271.79=TMax+26.79)
215 5x5
Pendlay Row
225 5x5
Felt tired and low energy today. Still knocked out 5 good reps on top weight though, so it was a good day.

I read that doing the lifts from the hang is different enough from the floor that it doesn’t carry over well. But I haven’t tested the bullshit index on that one.
Even though I told MizzO on facebook that I wasn’t competing anymore, there’s a virtual weightlifting meet next week that I’m entering. I guess I just can’t travel for meets… Actually, I guess I don’t know what the frack I’m doing. Or going to do.
Interestingly, I didn’t enter the last virtual PL meet cuz I thought I would be going to Sacramento and , what do you know, some folks came out to compete in it this time.

x2
Isn’t california sunny year round?
nice benching buddy!
yeah for no shirt and lifting heavy shit above your head is badass. You just need to tweak form and learn new skillz.
I would LOVE to be able to through my weights around like that. very jealous ![]()
Great vids.
Your snatch form looks really great to me.
And glad you are back.
you may take some small comfort knowing that my snatch is still uglier than yours.
Tony, the snatches actually look pretty good. The weight is hard to hold overhead because you are not getting it back fa
r enough over or even behind your head. Might be shoulder mobility limiting this. Can you do shoulder dislocates with your snatch grip? If not, that would be something to work on.
If you can, then maybe a bunch of drop snatches focusing on keeping the weight back. Even try to miss some of them behind. With your strength, and a year of practice, you could do some serious damage in Masters weightlifting.
DCA,
You are a clever man with those boxes spotting you on the bench press, genius. Nice work on the snatch by the way, your bloopers look better than my successes.
Great vids Tony. Your bench looked really strong and smooth and you get good bar speed on your snatches. You will be hitting them sooner than you think.

You have hit it right on the head. I simply can’t get that bar back far enough behind my head and it’s throwing everything else off. Dislocates happen now.
