Notes: Coulda gotten 3 more on the money set for certain. Last two would’ve have been hard, but I coulda done it. Boosted weight for rep sets by 45. None were hard, but I again found myself wanting to stop after 3 sets. I should be sore for days.
I can’t take the magicness of the squat shoes on faith. Have to see them.
But would those putative last two reps have been good form reps? If not, then better this way. No injuries before the meet.

But I want to show off the whole ensemble at once. Still waiting for my singlet.
I’m a good morning type of squatter, so they would not have been pretty, but would have done the job of making my lily-white ass stronger AND given me a PR. I’m pretty sick of not having any PR’s.
I was definitely rooting for ya on that last rep on the OHP. Am heartily approving the re-appearance of video in this log.
OK, I accept the rationale of laying the whole ensemble on us at once. Something to which I am looking forward. ![]()
very nice highlights.
particularly impressed with the presses.
the comitee has voted and agreed to wait for the singlet for whole ensemble picture.
Great lifting and excellent technique throughout.
Great work Tony. I wish I could do pull ups. well, first I’d have to invent anti-gravity…
My 12 yr old son told me i was so big i had my own gravity. i am sending that little shit to military school.
Great work, all the way around. When/what fed is the next meet?
I’m always impressed by a strong man with strict form. And, damn, your lifts are beauteous!
Eagerly awaiting singlet/magic shoes pic.

November 6 at SuperTraining gym in Sacramento. They’re doing SPF meets there now and fairly frequently. It’s an interesting arrangement, being a multi-meet with raw, single and multi-ply lifting happening. Three weight classes: light, middle, and heavy weights. Needless to say, I think that since I’m lifting raw and haven’t yet reached an adult weight, I’ll be lifting in the first flights…
They’ll be using a monolift for the squats so it’ll be a bit strange not to walk the weight out. I may do so anyway since it’s part of the process of setting my stance.
Thanks, Farmer and MJ.
MJ your kid sounds like he’s as much of a smartass as my kid. Where does it come from? Can’t be from me…

That sounds like fun. I’ve never used a mono. I agree, I am not sure what cue I would use to start the lift without the one-two shuffle step.

I tried a friend’s mono and it really threw me off. The shuffle, dance is part of my set up. However, I suspect you could change it pretty quickly.
CA, I’m looking forward to seeing you rock the singlet.
I hope you have someone going that can tape the meet.
I would love to try a monolift as I really struggle with walkouts. I’m sure judges think I’m just think going to fall on my ass the way I walk a heavy bar out. Ugly.
does jackass bell still run supertraining?
