Modern Savage

So I’m on deployment with time on my hands so I figured I would open up with training. I’m nothing special in the gym but I’ll admit I have an addiction and I’ve been overtraining for probably the last 12yrs of my life. A few weeks ago I was trying to go heavy doing some conjugate method work as well as 5x5’s and my body just started to breakdown (again).

After coming off this most recent back tweak I’ve decided to try out a modified version of Dan John’s 10k swing program. Tomorrow is day 7, thus far it has gone as follows
Day 1- Front SQ w/ 225
Day 2- Dips
Day 3- Wgtd Pull Ups
Day 4- Double Pause DL
Day 5- Clean to a Push Press
Day 6- Wgtd Pull Ups

I am truly enjoying this program and I am forcing myself to limit time in the gym. It is also providing a degree of conditioning which I have been lacking for a while. I am going to try and keep up with this, maybe even post a pic or two. Thanks

Day 7- Front Squats again.
Ive made some modifications to the program, Ive begun to ramp up weight as i get good and warm. Finished 275 on my last round.

500m row- 123.1

Into my third week of 10k swing program. Feeling great. Getting lean and adding size, most likely because I am not overtraining and actually giving my body a rest.

Today’s lift was
Double Pause DL with 365 with 500KB swings. Did a finisher of 405 Double Pause singles and Hanging Leg raise.
