SB - you didn’t even know you missed me until you had me in your life, huh? =D I know… it does feel like forever! Maybe we can walk tomorrow night or something? How are you enjoying your week off?[/quote]

That’s true, but life wouldn’t be quite as fun.

My body is loving the week off, but I’m still excited about Monday to start training for the next meet!

CBear - yes… we just don’t see each other except at the gym! But we have a gym date tomorrow!

SB - see you at 6 tomorrow! =D

what? you don’t have sleep overs and braid each others hair? :stuck_out_tongue:

Molly… Big Jim = Jim Wendler(Elite)?
You should be so lucky and I should be so jealous.

Big Jim = Jim Laird (good friend of Jim Wendler)
And yes, we’re all glad to have him around =)

Yeah Skye, our coach Big Jim (Laird) was roommates with Jim (Wendler) for a while before Wendler moved to Ohio. And Shannon is right, we are all super lucky to have him around! He is a great coach…!

In fact, at the meet, I appreciated him even more b/c I watched other coaches “coaching” their teams and it was awful! They were either way too harsh and just really MEAN… or they wouldn’t tell them when they did something wrong. It was crazy… when we were in the warm-up area for squats… I would say that less than 25% of the people warming up were hitting depth… and their coaches weren’t saying ANYTHING to them about it! And actually, I would say at least 60% (or more) of the lifters were red-lighted at least once for depth… then other lifters had really interesting deadlift form a mix between sumo and conventional and stiff-legged and regular and the coaches were giving them no feedback whatsoever… once girls even grabbed the bar REALLY off-center when she was setting up and her coach didn’t say a word… that’s so dangerous!

Anyway, Jim is awesome and is a great Coach. He is the right mix of pushing us and encouraging us, and then telling us when we are being idiots =D

I’m jealous you guys have such a great coach. I wonder if there are any in Columbus, Ohio…

Aha…thanks. I was on Elite earlier and had one of those 'Wha…? Naw, can’t be…!"-moments. There’s some slight resemblance, so I figured I’d ask.
I’m sure he’s a great coach, your lifts are a testament to that.

SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!?!? Columbus is practically the MECCA of powerlifting! Elite FTS and Westside Barbell are both there and tons of people in that area are into powerlifting! You should have no problems finding someone to help you! =D

Thanks Skye! haha yeah they get teased for looking like twins…

The resemblance is uncanny…lol
Have you gotten the results of your blood work yet? I’m sure you’re enjoying some much needed rest this week, has that helped some?

Nope… no results yet! I am getting so anxious! They are supposed to fax me my results as they come in… so I should be getting some of them any day now… I would like to see them before my appt (which is in two weeks) so that I can have questions prepared for the Dr when we meet (she is $325 an hour CASH… no insurance… so I don’t want to waste the time reading the tests in front of her… I would rather read them ahead of time!)

Actually the rest is kind of driving me nuts, and kind of nice at the same time… haha! But honestly, I still feel just as tired… maybe MORE tired this week than I have… who knows? Grrr…

Molly- is it more like a fatigue that you feel if you’ve stayed up too late and woke up early?

I know that feeling all too well…the results I felt when I started my meds were almost immediate! Like, within the week…it felt like I was slowly coming out of this fog. For so long it just felt things were going in slow motion…I would dread family activities because I knew I didn’t have the energy :frowning:

I’m still digging for more answers and clues…definitely a journey!

I hope that there is nothing wrong, but at the same time if there is, that you get treated right away so you can start feeling better!!

It’s weird that your results didn’t come back yet. Have you called? I got some labs done a couple weeks ago, and they were ready within the week!

Betty - it’s kind of hard to describe… I just feel like I am dragging all day long… and at any given time I feel like I could curl up and fall asleep within minutes… A Nap ALWAYS sounds like a good idea! ;D

I said in my other journal, I actually HOPE something is wrong… so I can fix it and I am not just crazy or something! I would be devastated if everything came back great b/c it means either:

A) it’s all in my head… which I know it’s not
B) we have to start from scratch and run a bunch more tests…

I am sure that some of the tests have come into their office… they just probably haven’t gotten around to faxing them yet. I will call and remind them next week if they haven’t sent any yet… Blood tests are pretty quick… it’s the saliva test that is supposed to take forever (4-6 weeks)

You put yourself through some major shit on Saturday. I forced myself into the gym mid week just to do ‘something’ but it took about 10 days before I felt ready to lift anything substantial again. You totally taxed your CNS, you’re coming down from the high of the meet and crashing. We can all relate  Once you’re back in the gym you’ll feel better… or at least not “more” tired this week than you have been.

Yeah… you are right… I kicked my own ass last weekend! But hopefully I will be alright by Monday when I start lifting again. By that time I will have successfully taken 9 days off in a row… ! That’s a record or something! haha =D I just can’t wait to feel good again =P

It must be frustrating to rest and not feel rested even though your CNS has been through the grinder with that heavy training. I hope like you said they are able to figure out what’s wrong so you can work on fixing it.
What have you been doing on your days off? Walking? Light cardio?

Yeah Skye… I walked for 30-60 minutes almost every day this week… very light walking! But I get to get back to the gym tomorrow! YIPPEE! =D

This is not completely true. On Saturday we were outside pulling the sleds with VERY light weight and pretty slowly. As we were walking it started to sprinkle, then within seconds it started raining. All of a sudden I hear a YELP and see Molly sprinting to the door with her sled in tow. She was screaming and running like she had a prom dress on and her hair done. I started laughing so hard that I could barely walk.
