Thanks. The hardest part of squatting for me is telling myself to get under the bar.

x2 what AC said. But I’d say all your lifts are skyrocketing. Nice, I got a ton of work to do.

Thanks bud. I’ve got a lot of time to think while I work and it’s kinda cool how my pseudo-philosophizing is transferring to the gains.
5/30/12
Standing Calves 2x7x225 each set is 7,7,7 out, in, normal
CGBP 9x245 PR last rep was a grinder(4seconds)
Dips 8x90 Fatigue PR
SSP 2.5x205 PR this is really heavy
Seated DB Press 10x80 PR
DB Side Raise 14x30
Happy with today. I hate calves, but I need to train them now. As of the last few weeks or so, my body(in particular my upper body) has just exploded size-wise. I’m not sure why, but everyone is commenting on how it looks like I’ve started a cycle or something haha. This sudden growth has made already baby calves look even smaller, and I don’t like that. I’m getting hungry all the time, and I’m taking that to mean my body wants to grow, so I’m going to start eating more.
Pressing was hard due to training tris beforehand, but I still hit good numbers. Will row, chin, abs, and possibly bis or traps tomorrow.
5/31/12
BL Ground Row 10x290 PR
Chins 8x45, 18xBW
BL RDL 10x405 PR ouch
DB Curl 11x50 PR
Just got done eating mellow mushroom, so fatness has been satisfied. Chins were good. Going to start working those back in more. RDL was hard because my back was fatigued, so hamstrings did A LOT. Rep 10 felt like my hammies were a rippin and a tearin. I’m planning on squatting tomorrow, so we’ll see how that goes.
In work news, we got moved to a new building and are now using oil-based paint. This means I’m slightly stoned all day.
6/1/12
LB Squat 2x405 super duper crazy tired in low back/hamstring area
Flat DB Bench 11.5x100 PR
Seated DB Press 13x75 PR
HS Chest 6x335 PR, 9x295 PR
DB Side Raise 12x35
a. Sledge 6x20
b. DB Press 6x10x40
c. 1 min rest
I knew squatting was going to be hard, but it was one of those times I had to see if I could get close to a max performance under fatigue. I’m happy with it. Pressing was good and saw a lot of improvement obviously. I’m probably not going to lift tomorrow, but I will train. It will be a lot of conditioning most likely.
In other news, my Zyzz dancing is improving greatly.

6/3/12
Deadlift 2.5x535 not happy, 15x405 PR punishment set
BL Front Squat 3x185, 3x205 abs so weak
Front Squat 3x225, 1x245, 1x275 starting off easy
1a. CG Pulldown 4x10
1b. BS Leg Raise 4x10
2a. WG Cable Row 5x8
2b. Dec Situp 5x12
Sprints 8
Missed the third rep on 535 because of a stupid technique mistake that I told myself to fix. I will get it next time, plus having fatigued hamstrings didn’t help. Did a punishment set. The 405 set was nonstop, pretty sure I could get 20 if I rested a little.
Front squats were so hard beltless. I’ve been neglecting my ab work and I’m going to change that. All the weight was obviously easy, but staying tight was hard. Doing the cardio deadlifts beforehand didn’t help.
Assistance work was good and kept at a fast clip. Sprints were easy and my conditioning is definitely improving. Looking at tris/shoulders/bis tomorrow.
What’s a BL front squat?

Quite a few hours after training, I’m not nearly as sore as I would have expected.
I’m also coming to the realization that I’m not a powerlifter. By that I mean I don’t put the absolute premium on my 1RM. I’m just as, if not more so, interested in increasing multiple rep maxes. This should be a helpful realization.

It will definitely alleviate some self-induced stress. Are you still squatting low bar?
