It was a lot of fun. The Grand Canyon is unfathomable unless you’ve been there. Not very surprisingly, hiking out of the bottom is tough. The recommended time to hike out Bright Angel is 8-9 hours, we did it under 7. So it was basically a death march pace haha, and I almost died. I’ll try to post a pic or two later. I’ll have to figure out how to get em off facebook.
Flat DB Bench 5x110 PR
HS Chest
Cable Fly
1-Arm OH DB Ext
Rope Pushdown
a. Straight bar Pushdown
b. DB Kickback
Everything was really controlled and had a good connection to the muscle. I probably could have done heavier weight on the bench, but I really controlled the negative and it felt good. Moved into my new apartment today, and what a story do I have.
So, upon moving into the apartment, we notice cat shit in the corner and a puddle of some liquid on the couch. We figure oh, we’ll call the cleaning people and they’ll take care of it. They come over, do their thing, then peace. We unload stuff, then go eat lunch. Come back, are unpacking and my roommate sees a weird lump in his bed. He pokes it, and it meows. There is a live fucking cat inside the box springs of his bed. We call the apartment people and they send like 20 people over, including a sheriff, animal control, and 3 cleaning teams. We carry the box springs out with the cat still in it. Btw, the liquid on both the couch and chair was cat piss, so we got new furniture. This shit was ridiculous.
Deadlift 3x500 PR
WG Pulldown
DB Row
Lying Leg Curl
Seated Leg Curl
Walk up a huge hill
Decent enough day. First time pulling heavy in a couple of weeks. I have more strength in there, and expect 4x510 or so in the near future. Hamstring work gave me a good pump. Saw some people I haven’t seen since last year, and apparently I’m a lot bigger looking. Who would have guessed?
Pretty quick session. Spent all morning help move in new cadets and other freshmen. This involved carrying heavy items up 10 flights of stairs multiple times. First time doing skullcrushers, and I like them.
Hack Squat 7x365
CS Leg Press 4 sets of 20
1-Leg Leg Ext 50 reps
Seated BB Press 5x185
L-Raise
DB Side Delt
I wanted to squat today, but my lower back is still tired. So I trained quads on machines instead. The press ties a pr I think. I’m back eating in the dining halls with the unlimited plan, so hopefully some weight will be gained.
