Thanks, eating seems to give me confidence. On the cleans, I do straight retard form. Imagine the worst form you can, then make it worse. I don’t dip under the bar at all, I splay my legs out right to the sides, and then angrily stand up with the weight. I don’t have the coordination to do it properly. These were with straps btw; the bars at my current gym have no knurling, no chalk, and no bumper plates, so it’s necessary.

Wanted to push press today, but my body wasn’t up to it. The curls were all pretty strict, and I had a really good feel in the muscle. I have pain whenever I do any type of overhead tricep exercise, right above the elbow, so I could use any suggestions to alleviate it or alternative exercises.

Bench felt pretty good; felt it in the chest. All the reps were controlled with a slight pause at the bottom. I do my rows more upright than most people, but I really feel it in my back. I’m pretty exhausted now. This will be my last workout for a while. I’m going out west to visit my sister and see the Grand Canyon for a couple of days.

BB Flat Bench: 10ish singles around 265-275
BB Row: 8ish triples around 365-375
a. DB Shoulder Press: 8+reps x a lot x heavy for me
b. DB Hammer Curl: same as above
First day lifting in a a week. Felt pretty good. Bench wasn’t exceptional, but didn’t drop at all, which is good. Rowing felt strong. Kept a really quick pace during everything, especially the volume work. I’m focusing on leaning up now, and when I do that, my pressing usually stays about the same, but my pulling increases. Also, I’m running/pting almost every evening now. I have a doctor’s visit today to see if I have a hernia or not.

First time squatting in a while, and I messed up my hip hiking out of the Grand Canyon. I wanted to see how it held up to squatting. It didn’t hurt, but the strength wasn’t great. The main thing was it really felt unstable, so I’m going to work on rehabing it and improving my squat again. Might train again tonight.
how was the trip? Get any good pics? Sorry to hear that you messed your hip up, how did that happen?

Hit up shoulders tonight, everything felt good. Haven’t bb pressed in a while, so no pr, but not terrible. Going to work on getting used to the movement again, then start busting prs, because the strength is there. Immediately after lifting I walked over to Subway and ate 2 footlong subs. It was good. I’m moving in tomorrow, so schedule might be hectic.
