Pretty good session. Everything was sans any equipment. Deadlifts felt heavy, but that’s to be expected. Just got some volume in. First time military pressing in a while. Complex was 3 rounds of suck. Then a little more suck when I was done. Conditioning is getting better as noted by I feel less like ass.

Not a bad day. Lower back still hurts like hell. Going to keep with my original plan of less deadlifting, more rowing/cleaning. I want to pull heavy as hell all the time, but my back just can’t handle it. Progress will be made other ways. Also, I weigh like 184-186ish these days. So yeah, I’m almost at a triple bodyweight deadlift.

Gawd u r so much stronger than I, FML. Must. Catch. Up.

Switching to something better hopefully. Will be starting tomorrow on basically a rotating 531 schedule. I’m moving my grip in on bench a lot, like 3-4 inches a side. My shoulders love it already, but I’m WEAK at it. It’ll improve soon and eventually be even higher. Also going to be squatting a bit more highbar.

I don’t usually post stuff like this, but it’s too good. Today’s story and lesson: Apparently growing something approaching muscles and a high&tight gets the cougars like nobody’s business. I went to help my old tennis coach put on a session with 6-12 year olds, so quite a few of the moms were sticking around, doing mom shit. All the ones who recognized me(been over a year since I’ve been there) were like “OMG you so swoll” and I was like “Thanks, it’s all fat.” Two of them legit hit on me, and tried to give me their number. WITH THEIR CHILDREN LITERALLY FEET AWAY. And these kids were smart enough to know something fucked up was happening. I’ll take a cougar, but not when I know your kid’s name, but not yours.

Everything was pretty easy, like it was supposed to be. I like high bar squatting. It feels less comfortable on my back, but I put all the reps in the basement and they were easy. Plus I actually feel squatting in my quads now. Once I get the whole ab fiasco figured out, I’ll start training abs on the lower body days.

Thanks bud. I’ve read some articles about the difference between high bar/low bar, and I’m agreeing with what they said through my own experience.

Everything was pretty easy. Still getting used to the new bench grip, so didn’t do more than I had to. The curls were the hardest thing, due to the pump I got. I haven’t ever really done hang cleans, and these were easy. Hopefully I can get them strong in a hurry.

For my second time hang cleaning, don’t think that’s too shabby.

Since I’ve been eating a shitton, I have a ton of energy and feel strong. Was really bored, so went into the gym this morning and just kinda shitted around. That shitting around evolved into me apparently impressing some of the older big guys at the gym. They asked me what I was doing, and I said I have no clue, just finding hard stuff to do and doing it. They all laughed at the answer and said I was strong and thick. Yes, sounds super homo, but it’s all good. They seemed cool, makes me wish I wasn’t leaving soon so I could get some tips off em.

How were those cleans? Were you dropping low and catching them in the front squat position or utilizing a high catch? 275 is sweet. I’m jelly
