I give them a 50-50 shot. I get it, with our post season woes being what they are, people are, rightly, skittish about jumping on the train. But it’s my team, no matter what. And realistically, we have as good a chance as any.
Rumor has it, we’re leaving Uggla out. I hate that, but the guy hasn’t produced and the post season is not a place to get it figured out.
September was a blah month, but we had this thing wrapped up a while ago, so I am not surprised. I hope they can flip that switch and that little brawl with the Brewers gave me hope that we got some spunk going into this thing.
I HATE that we got the SI cover. That’s the worst jinx. Fuckers.

Make no mistake, they are my team. They have been my team long enough to know that the regular season means nothing for us when it comes to the post season and there probably isn’t another team anywhere that can choke away a wonderful year in Sept-Oct better than the Braves, except for maybe the Sox but they seem to be getting that monkey off their backs.
Good season for the Indians. If Tito does not win manager of the year something is wrong.
Disappointed to see our big off season fa signing (Swisher) swinging away like a drunkin softball player when he just needed to get a hit. As the mantra goes in cleveland sports, there is always next year.

The Cabrera GIDP made me so sad. I didn’t turn the game off because I was still invested, but that’s the exact moment all of the wind fell out of my sails.

Also, if Clint Hurdle does not get manager of the year, something is very, HORRIBLY wrong. He’s as much a sure-thing as Kershaw is for Cy Young.

I am having De ja vu… again. Best regular season team in history, consistently. We need new ownership. I hate Liberty Media.

Yeah, we went 5-2 against the Dodgers when it didn’t matter. Now we are back to being the Braves.

This. Also I would like to get a new manager, 2nd baseman, and an Upton who will hustle and not be a pussy in the outfield. Is that too much to ask?
[/quote]
I would love to get Joe Maddon. He takes $40 million dollar teams to the play-offs every year, with different people. Imagine what he could do with a 90 million dollar team?
So I am now shooting for the Rays to win. Why do I like to underdog?

It’s not just him, it’s the GM. They draft good players and develop them. Then they will do things like trade James Shields for some younger, good prospects who turn out to be good.
That was a huge win for the Cardinals. The beat Kershaw who really pitched good. They actually took out the Dodgers two best pitchers and still haven’t pitched Wainright yet.
