Yankee fans are pure class

Heard this bit of “trivia” on Max & Marcellus radio show last week:
Name the player who over their career has broken up 81 no-hitters with a homerun.

Rickey Henderson. 81 leadoff homeruns.
Got 1st row terrace tickets for the Ray and Mariners on the 8th of September @ Safeco.
Go home late, just finished watching the Sox/Yanks game. Wow. All the drama and entertainment you could ask for on a Sunday night rivalry game. PEDs or not, Arod hitting that retaliation homer was impressive. That wasn’t a cheap shot like the one off Verlander either.
I think Dempster hitting Arod was bush league. Pretty much agree with what Kruk and Schilling had to say on the issue. Something just did not feel right about it. Girardi’s reaction was appropriate and I think he has handles Arod’s return well.

I’m rooting for A-Rod as well. In light of all the shit he’s dealing with, he may still have some good ball games left in him. Some HR too… 446’ worth of it. Payback is a mofo.
Girardi is a class act all the way. All he wants to do is avoid the shit storm and get the best use out of anyone that is available to play. A-Rod is still an asset and I think he’s doing pretty well considering the pressure.
The best is seeing A-Rod stuff it up Cashman’s ass every chance he gets. No love lost there for sure.

I honestly believe that this whole steroid issue is painting the players/managers against the front offices.
The products were a cream and a lozenge which I was told could help expedite my rehabilitation- Ryan Braun
Does anyone believe this?
Raj - You thought I was nuts for suggesting Kershaw would post sub 2 ERA this year.
Now, he could very easily slip above that 2.0 line by the end of the year, but after 27 starts he has a 1.72. Gotta give me some credit for that.
If only I could have found some odds on that and thrown down a couple hundred bucks…

An impressive stat that’s been making the rounds of local radio:
With four (or more) runs of support, Kershaw’s record currently sits at 51-0.

No not at all, his whole apology was bullshit.

A good illustration of why pitching wins are meaningless.

I wouldn’t dispute your point, but I cannot see exactly how that stat supports it.

I misread your post
So, how many of you assholes thought it was a fluke when Pablo Sandoval hit three bombs in Game 1 last year?

Game 1 was no fluke. But this one was.

Hahaha got to give it to you. Still find a way to gloat about your Giants, however small it is, even though they are simply a pathetic team this year. I was sure Zito’s ERA would be over 4. It’s almost 6. Tim Lincecum has had a year that mirrors Kevin Costner in “For Love of the Game.” Except he is 29 instead of 40. 21 game out of 1st. Who cares if a player on a team 21 games out of 1st hits 3 hr’s in a game.

I’m sorry, could you type in bold print please? The shine coming off the two replica World Series rings that adorn my pinkies are making it too hard for me to read your post.

Are you telling me the Padres don’t have good pitchers!? Haha.

I have no idea I’ve hardly followed baseball much this year except for my team (Boston)
