The point is that even if we disregard the complete monster he is OFF the field, he was still a complete monster ON the field. He was hated by many and this was evidenced by the fact that the last free agent year of his not ONE SINGLE team offered him any sort of contract whatsoever, except for the Giants. He cheated the game with his steroid use, he disrespected his own teammates and it’s complete bullshit to brush aside his cheating simply because he got better results than anyone else who cheated. All this is considered OFF the field.

Many Bonds fans couldn’t give a single fuck that he took steroids. From some of the Bonds fans I’ve talk to, many feel upwards to 70% of the league were taking banned substances. So no, I doubt most die hard Bonds fans like WC7 would feel the same as you.
Yea DB, your just missing the point on this one.
This is how much of your post I read, so you can just save your self the time of typing out long worded responses. Your off your rocker on this one.

You haven’t even read my post and you’re going to tell me I’m off my rocker? You just invalidated yourself pal. Read it first, and then form an opinion.

lol

Honestly, I’m not really that interested by the ‘Bonds issue’ and I’m reluctant to reply because I know it will turn into a long 3+ page debate. It is a major point of discussion for Giants fans after all.

On another note which division do you guys think is the worst in baseball this year?

It’s a tossup between the NL West and AL Central IMO.

Best divisions?

 1. AL East
 2. NL East
 3. AL West

All I can think about is what if Buster Posey was still in our lineup…

AL East is the best, even with the Sox and the Yankees having down years in terms of pitching.

NL West is the worst, even with the Gigantes residing in it.

DO you respect what little accomplishments Rae Carruth made on the field? Do you respect what Mel Hall (who is a convicted child molester) did on the field? Do you respect what Ugueth Urbina (convicted of attempted murder) did on the field? And I realize that these crimes are much bigger than what Bonds has done. But you say you are a fan of Major League Baseball, not Major League Good People or whatever, so do you mean to tell me that as a fan of MLB you are willing to give respect to someone who egregiously and UNDENIABLY disrespected MLB?
You’re comparing a steroid user to a murderer, a child molester and an attempted murderer? Yea, their crimes are much bigger than what Bonds did.

I don’t like Bonds the person, but he played in the “steroid era” where everyone may have been using PEDs, so he put himself on a level playing field. Heck, everyone who predominantly played in that era from starting pitchers, relievers, closers, outfielders, infielders and DHs, maybe they all shouldn’t be respected for their accomplishments and be let into the HOF.

Oh, I get it now. Since everyone was doing it that makes it okay. Give me a fucking break. If most of the players in his era were ALLEGEDLY cheating that doesn’t make the fact that we KNOW Bonds cheated any less egregious. Moral relativism at its worst.

Look, I LOVE baseball. Everyone here knows that. But it’s just a fucking game. That’s all it is, a game that people feel passionately about, but a game nonetheless. None of you guys would show any respect whatsoever toward someone’s accomplishments at chess or Monopoly or any other game if that person were as big a jerk as Bonds was. But you’ve let your passion for the game override your sense of morality and decency to the point where you’ll forgive a cheater because he wasn’t the only one cheating. It’s a ridiculous attitude.

Would you guys show ANY respect at all to a co-worker of yours in regards to his job performance if you KNEW that he broke rules and cheated and lied while accomplishing all of these job-related things? Would you further show him any respect if you knew he was also beating his wife (which came out in Bonds’ first divorce trial), habitually cheating on his first AND second wife, showed little to no respect to his co-workers, and raised a kid who was arrested for multiple misdemeanor charges relating to attacking his mother (his son Nikolai was arrested for attacking his mother, Sun, mimicking the behavior he’s probably seen his father display), and was indicted on multiple felony counts related to lying to Congress about cheating while working? Of course you wouldn’t. So why do Giants fans give Bonds the free pass?

Gotta agree.

Hey guys it’s my birthday! I’m 21. Can’t wait to see what all the fuss is about alcohol!

I’m sure WestCoast would agree deep down as well, but apparently he’s intimidated by the sight of a post longer than his dick, so he won’t even read it in the first place.

Happy Birthday! My only advice to you is this: when you go out tonight, don’t even fuck around. Tie a 10 gallon bucket around your neck. You’ll need it.

You waited for the legal drinking age to get drunk? Kids these days…

It’s my birthday tomorrow too, also excited since I only drink 2-3x a year. Getting shit faced on Saturday.

a couple things you should do eeu during the day of your first night of drinking:

 1. eat 2-3 large starchy meals

 2. drink a gallon of water minimum throughout the day.

You’ll be able to last a shitload longer.

Drink a bottle of PeptoBismol before you go out. Trust me on this one. Or about half a gallon of milk. Avoid salty foods at all costs throughout the evening. Salt-free nuts, especially calorie-dense nuts like almonds are great. Fatty foods that aren’t real greasy or salty are essential. Avocados, salt-free nuts, whole milk…these are your friends for the day. The fat helps absorb alcohol and without grease you won’t get as sick and without salt you won’t dehydrate as quickly. Avoid anything that’s really acidic as well.

But remember, you WILL be shitfaced, you WILL puke several times and you WILL be hungover for the next day and a half (if you do things right). Embrace this reality.

Are you also well versed in drugs?

What are your favourite drugs?

What *were your favourite drugs?

I played baseball with Brett Lawrie from the age of 10-18! Went to high school with him too. It’s so surreal to watch him play. The kid is insane. He’s a year younger than me; turning 21 this year.

His sister is bangable.

Whatever was cheap and short-circuited my brain as fast as possible. I used to smoke about 1/8 of weed a day, blunts only. Never owned a bong or bubbler, just a little pipe for emergencies. I have the sort of mind that handles psychedelics EXTREMELY well.

I went through a phase where I ate a shitload of mushrooms all the time (at least 1/8 per “episode”) after I bought a Hefty Bag full of them and had trouble selling them so me and my friends just ate them every other day for most of one summer, went through a phase where I dropped a bunch of acid (probably dropped about 30-40 times for a total of about 100-130 tabs), dabbled in crystal meth (didn’t like the high at all), went through several prolonged phases of intense, acute cocaine usage, including freebasing it, snorted Ecstasy about 5 times (I took two pills the first time I ever took it and was stone-cold sober while everyone else was grinding their teeth into sawdust and swore if I ever did it again I was going to do it like a fucking MAN and snort it), tried pure MDMA about 5 times, did DMT once, ketamine once, smoked a bunch of opium over a six-week period when I was 23 and if you took all the hash I’ve smoked in my life it would be about the size of my head, I had a big rock of keefe about the size of a softball once that lasted about a month, I’ve smoked hash and keefe and eaten every type of edible weed product imaginable and I even discovered what I think is the superior THC delivery system: olive oil.

Heat up a cup of olive oil with about an ounce of weed/shake/trimmings/whatever for about an hour, let it cool down and take a 1oz shot of it. I never got into pharmaceutical drugs. I’ve popped some Vicodine and some Valium and some Percocet and snorted Ritalin and popped and snorted Adderall and I’ve popped some Prozac and some Lithium, but probably only about a dozen times total between all of them.

I think that just about covers it. Oh yeah, and mescal on the side…

^^ Well that’s quite impressive.

I’ve never been overly interested in drugs, basically just pot on occasion and mushrooms twice ever. Been offered cocaine and Ex, declined both times.

Question about your pot olive oil trick. How exactly is it superior? Using an ounce to get high only a couple of times seems like a waste.

EDIT: or are you just saying it’s the best when it comes to edibles?

Well, think about my pot-smoking history. I smoked an eighth of an ounce a day. One cup of olive oil is 8 fluid ounces. So if I take an ounce of trimmings (which are still covered in THC crystals for the most part but are pretty much worth nothing, especially compared to an ounce of the weed that they’re trimmed off of) and put that in with 8 ounces of oil, I can get high 8 times, right? Which is the same amount of times I’d get high per ounce.

The high with the oil is WAY better though, because I’d smoke 1/8 over the course of a day, not all at once. The oil high would be essentially the same amount of THC delivered all at once, and at a fraction of the cost. The high itself was wild. WAY better than eating an edible because the food helps the body absorb the THC and metabolize it in a way that downgrades the high a little bit. Not so with oil. The first time I did it was about an hour before a workout. As I started to work out it started getting right on top of me and an hour after the workout I was convinced it was late and I had to go to bed because I thought it was midnight. It was 7:30. THAT is a superior high and a superior delivery system.

I was kiddin guys! Haha I guess that joke translates better to people who know me personally…

I did the get really drunk often thing my first few years of college when I was doing rugby, but I’m pretty over it. I am planning on getting drunk tonight, but I’m not even going out to a bar or anything, and I’m not doing a big group thing. I’m actually having dinner with my boss’s daughter, then we’re gonna drink hang out and drink a lot. She’s a really funny chick (I really don’t like hanging out with most women) so I’m lookin forward to it. Hopefully I don’t end up gettin fired.
