How do you guys keep your mixers (bottles with the little egg whisks inside) from smelling like a 40 year old woman’s yeast infection? I need help because contrary to popular belief the infectious scent does not help the drink go down.

LMAO wow sorry you’ve smelled the comparison! The sooner you rinse the whey residue out the better they’ll smell…good old fashioned dish soap and water work just fine if you don’t get to it immediately.
haha its what happens when you live in a city of cougars i guess…
I’m using optimum nutrition protein. It has happened with any sort of protein I have used though. I usually fill it up with protein and water before I head to the gym, although I have thought about bringing the entire container of protein and making it at the gym. What do you do?
I’ve had some smelly shakers, too. It helps to rinse them with really hot water as soon as possible, and every now and then, I’ll rinse them with some hot water with a bit of listerine. Some plastic shakers really hold on to the scent though, while other containers, like my nalgenes, never seem to hold any scent.
My roomate has a shaker from vitamin shoppe. The smell is horrendous.
I have a tupperware brand shaker that smells like chocolate now. No funk at all. It’s very old too. I should probably throw it out because plastic cant be good to use for that long… oh wel…
Buy a higher quality cup. The harder the plastic the better, I’d guess.
I dont know how those differ from the classic shakers i have, But i have been using the same shakers for years and they smell fine.I rinse them out thoroughly after each use and wash when I get home.

What usually helps with that is just leaving the water out until you’re ready to drink it. Make sure that the bottle is dry though.
