Whose environment? How is the damage to said environment proven? Can any damage be tied to a specific business or businesses?

It’s not okay in that case. You can sue the company for what it cost you, and it should be held responsible for paying for the damage.

And what if the company does not have the assets to cover my suit ,let alone the thousands of neighbors I have ?

What happens if a dog bites me(or 10 people), I sue its owner, and its owner can’t cover the suit?
As a buisness owner when the wage goes up, I have to pass the buck. I own both a gym, and a renovation company, with about 9 guy’s working for me ( some at both) So I up the price of membership’s or my reno’s, then get less work/member’s, not likely. What likely happen’s if the minumum wage jumps by a bunch, is I get forced underground, taking payment for reno’s and memberships in cash, and then paying my guys in cash, I try to avoid this right now, but I wouldn’t have a choice if wage’s increased.
In the reno side of things I have no problem paying more when guys can do more. I start my guys at minumun wage, and give them a 1$ a hour raise per house we finish (aprox month) so in 6mths if they stuck around, they would be making 18$ hour, and know how to frame a house, they never stick around, to impaitant for more money. Guys have to start at the bottom, and work theyre way up, to be worth more money, thats how its always worked, but these days kids want it all, right away. I started out as an apprentis welder for 6yrs, making nothing, now Im worth 60$ an hour because I put the time in, living like a monk, working for nothing, learning and making myself worth more.
On the topic of hourly wage, try being a small buisness owner now days, if my wife or I, tryed to figure out what we made for every hour we worked on our own buisness, LOL, it would be somewhere around a dollar an hour, Im sure. My gym paid around 100 thousand in taxes last year, and cleared 40 thousand in my pocket. One of my trainers actually makes more money a year out of my gym than I do, but you believe I should increase wages.
Stop thinking in terms of Wallmart, or Mc Donalds, and start thinking about the small buisness owners, were the back bone of this country, we carry the load, and the buck always stops on us. If your in your 20s, stop complaining, be glad to have a job, put the time in working for peanuts, and make your self worth somthing. My sons been at Wallmart for 5yrs, hes night shift manager, making 18$ hour + profit sharing, he goes to school during the day, and he aims to be running his own Wallmart store before hes 30, since everyone else is busy bitching and whining, and hes got his head down working, Im sure hell get there. Done

e-high five.
Good post. It is nice to have the perspective of those that actually do, rather than just dream up un-thought-out scenarios of utopia.

Man I hate economic policies these days, if your a student companies try to take advantage of you and offer you minimum wage which isn’t a livable amount I mean I made 13 dollars an hour washing dishes like 7 years ago and now they want to pay you less. ASSMONKEYS!!![/quote]
lol.
This is the definition of entitlement. You were paid $13 an hour to wash fucking dishes, and are complaining about it. Dishes, soap and water, more likely loading and unloading a machine. This takes so little skill it is laughable, and you’re paid the equivalent of $27,040 a year to do it, and complaining?

It’s no different. One party is unable to cover the damage done by its property. You can google how such a situation is handled.

I assume this is a question. I am not an attorney or judge, if I was to give you the answer, it would be nothing more than a copy&paste job or a link to the result of a google search. There’s no reason others can’t find the answer the way I did.

Please explain libertarianism(or Libertarianism) to me. You have stated that you often vote for Libertarians, so surely you can give me the fully cooked version of the philosophy.

It wasn’t a question. If you aren’t qualified to give an answer what qualifies you to know that the answer you assume you found is correct?
I pay a music Tax here in Canada, called Socan, because I play music in my gym (local radio sation) the goverment, deems I make part of my income from playing music, so taxes me on it. 5$ a member per year, it works out to be about 3000$, but this is up and above every other tax I pay, and if I refuse to pay it, they shut my gym down, if I stop playing music, I still have to pay. There reasoning is, that since the internet, and people are stealing music, Canadian musians are starving, and so this becomes my problem, because I have enough drive to start a buisness, I have to suport broke guitarists. LOL Pretty sure it wasn’t a conservitive that came up with this idea. Gyms - bars - dance classes, if you play music in your buisness, you pay a music tax.
Now you want me to take the hit, with a minum wage increase, because some unmotivated person can’t afford all the fancy things he wants washing dishes. We live in the greatest land on earth, the land of oppertunity, but it doesn’t come without hard work, thats the part they forgot to teach you in school. I worked two jobs 18hrs a day for two years, to save up the start up money to open my gym. One of those jobs was minum wage. I lived like a monk for those two years, and saved every penny, for what, so every penny I make can be taken away, and given to someone else, to suport someone else that dosesn’t have the drive I do. Bullshit, I have a sucessful gym, with almost 1000 members, but I’m going to have to shut my doors, because of all this bullshit, taxes and liberal nonsense, my gym grosses 450 thousand, and I take home 40 grand in my pocket, and you want to put more stress on small buisness, your an idiot, babble away with your nonsense, but realize with all your educated talk, you really don’t understand anything, about how hard working men provide for they’re family’s.
Two cars, insurance, morgage, food, and clothes for a couple kids, and you can’t suport yourself without whining about the economy. Over educated, never acomplished anything idiots like you, end up getting into politic’s, and thats why were in this mess. Ya lets up the minum wage, that will fix the country. Men growing back bones, instead of staying scared little boys will fix this country. I’m an iron worker 721, and we’re crying for guys, nobody wants to do iron work because it’s hard and dirty, everyone wants to be a video game designer, they go to school for it, but when they can’t find a job in that field, and they’re not qualified to do anything else. It’s my problem, up the minum wage. Every kid I know in school right now, is after some stupid degree, that won’t get them a job, Political science, physco analist, enviromentalist degree-----flipopin burger’s is more like it, and complaining about the minum wage. My nrants done

How long ago were you earning minimum wage?
What about raising the federal minimum wage to what it was during the late 1970’s? Which was about $10/hour in today’s money
