People who want a specific figure and are putting in the effort to learn generally benefit from doing so.
What you say is very true though for people in general – pushing numbers at them that they are not interested in and won’t follow does not help them, and instead general simple guides do better. But when someone wants to be more precise, excellent!
Belle Curvy… Do you have pics up or anything yet?? and do you have a training program to follow?
Good luck! Should be good… Just remember to stick with things… and you’ll reap the rewards… :)[/quote]
I have taken starting pictures and hopefully when I have something to show for my efforts I can post before and afters. But until then, this is not the site for fat women to be posting pics!
Sticking too it will be the hard part for me, but I have been looking up all the suggestions from Precision Nutrition to Berardi’s 7 Habits. 4-Days down and so far so good (minus the ooops of one cookie on Saturday)

Thanks for the suggestion of the 7 Habits Eggers! That looks like some good info for me.
I am a person who needs to know the rules, know when I am getting close to an edge. The calorie count just takes the worry out of my day if I can plan ahead what I can eat and how much it costs (calorie-wise)

Not to downplay what everyone has said, but at 215lbs and being 5’4", shouldn’t the OP just focus on good food and exercise, and worry about the numbers when weight loss stalls?
Seems like Berardi’s 7 Habits would just be simpler for her to follow and she can just worry about the numbers when/if she needs to.

At least this way she’ll start forming good habits, and won’t have to worry about them at a later point.
I’d also suggest getting a new scale and weighing in 1 time a week. If your not loosing about 1-2lb/wk then your eating too much (and the same goes in reverse)
Hopefully you get away from all machines soon, you’ll be able to shed more weight moving weight around…
