Milk Protein?

I notice a lot of premade drinks contain “milk protein.” I thought milk was made up of whey and casein. So is “milk protein” a mix of the two? Does it have a high GI?

Also, I just got some low carb milk and the stuff is AMAZING. However, will it have the same insulin response as regular milk? The second ingredient is milk and it does have 3g. of carbs…and I know even though milk has a low GI it does something wacky with your insulin. Would it be okay to replace my whey shake with this? What about at night? Could I have this instead of my casein or should I avoid it?

Thanks!

Milk is roughly 80% casien 20% whey

Um if its isolated milk protein no should be lower but all food causes a response

Um maybe really everyone will just be guessing unless its tested but in thoery if its lower in sugar etc then lower. but it may be further processed easier digested so who really knows

WFT is the first ingredient?? you bought milk that doesn’t have Milk as the first and well damn near if not only ingredient ??

Sure have it its in theory 80% casien but yes will have more an insulin response but like I said prior All food does and have some fiber with it call it golden

It’s carb countdown. It’s water, then milk, then cream I think, except not in the fat free one. But man, the chocolate stuff is beyond good…it has 5 g. of carbs though, 3 sugars, 1 fiber, 1 other.
