Military Situps

If you’ve ever done situps the army way (hands behind head and someone holding your feet) you know that its mostly a hip flexor excersise. One of my goals is to improve my overal army physical fitness test score. So, what are some good excersises for hitting the hip flexors? Or what other things have you military people done to improve your situps?

double check the exact rules, but if I’m not mistaken, you only have to touch your elbows to any part of your thighs, and you can have your hands crossed on your chest, touching the opposite shoulder.

I’d say the best way to improve your numbers would be to keep doing them over and over, shooting for a higher number each time.

Hold a 10lb plate on your chest and go for it. When that get’s easy, add more weight.
