I’m writing to ask for advice/help. I think, maybe, I pulled my right lat. The back of my right armpit (kind of behind the pit) started hurting about a week ago when I would reach back and pick something up. I thought I had just slept on it wrong, but it’s gotten progressively worse despite taking time off lifting.
I’m not sure what’s wrong. It hurts when, for example, I puff up my chest and pull my shoulders back. However, it doesn’t generally hurt. Sometimes when I’m moving around I’ll get a very sharp shot of pain.
Today I went back to the gym figuring I would at least do some squats and it hurt when I did that! (I guess the “stretch” from having the bar across my back and my arms on the bar did it…maybe).
Anyway, I’m horrible with injuries and don’t have any idea what I should be doing to fix it. It seems to be getting worse, so I came here to ask for advice. If anyone can make a suggestion, please let me know.
…On a plus note, I did hit a new PR for the squat…I guess having a pain in my upper back distracted me from the pains in my legs.
