First of all, that was unbelievable. Amazing finish.
Second, I disagree with your comment. Obviously that was not meant to be taken literally, but I think saying he is not human is insulting to his hard work.
What we have with Phelps is very rare. Here’s a guy that at first appears to be just a regular joe, yet at a very young age he was fortunate enough to find a swimming coach that recognized that he had a perfect body type and a very special talent for swimming.
This alone isn’t that big of a deal. He’s not the only one built perfectly that has the natural talent to excel at his sport. We;ve seen many like him. The thing that makes Phelps special is that he has combined this talent with an amazing work ethic.
Not many people with these God-given talents are willing to put in half the work he is, and this is what impresses me the most. I have the utmost respect for him and his work ethic.
I know you don’t mean any harm by the comment, but I do think you should have chosen your words a bit more carefully.
Serbia is filing a protest on the times. Doesn’t surprise me much considering how close it was, but I doubt this will change the results.

I can’t even see it when they did the slow-motion. I was very surprised he won.
I usually get a little leery when the media begins to gush so overwhelmingly for an athlete (mostly because I hate how the media builds someone up so high almost as if they are waiting for an inevitable fall)… but good Lord watching Phelps is awesome. I could care less if he is a swimmer or anything of that. How an you not appreciate greatness like that?

Isn’t there like a computer sensor that they touch?
My understanding is that they are pretty sensitive and High-Tech sensors in these Olympic Pools.
